THE ULTRA SATURDAY: The Ultra previews the highlight from La Liga on Saturday as Real Madrid host Villarreal with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
REAL MADRID V VILLARREAL
8pm The action continues from Europe this weekend on Betdaq Betting Exchange with the focus on La Liga as Real Madrid host Villarreal on Saturday night! I don’t think it’s being too dramatic to call this a must win game for Real Madrid; they lost the Madrid Derby last weekend, and at the end of the month they have El Clasico – they have to record wins here and against Getafe next week in between. It’s not often that Real concede five goals in game, but it was a second half to forget away to Deigo Simeone’s side last Saturday; they were 2-1 up at one stage too!
That loss left them one point behind Barcelona in the title race. Even allowing for a massive result for Atletico Madrid, it doesn’t get them back into the title race given how lacklustre they have been at the start of the season. Atletico are still seven points off top spot – it’s going to be a straight shootout between Real Madrid and Barcelona for the title. I know Real came into the season as the favourites, but I felt the market was wrong as highlighted in my outright preview and I’ve seen nothing to change my mind.
Barcelona currently have the best attacking figure with an average xG created of 2.41 and they also have the best defensive figure with an average xG conceded of only 0.76. Incredible stats really. In second and third on attacking figures we have these two sides, so this should be an entertaining game. Real have an average xG created of 2.05 with Villarreal behind them on 1.8. There’s only 0.03 between them on defensive figures; they both sit in the top five in that regard too.
As you would expect given home advantage, Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.48 with Villarreal 6.6 and the draw is 5.5 at the time of writing. Villarreal have had a very positive start to the season; results and performance wise. I do feel that the 1.48 is a little short on Real here based on how well Villarreal have been playing, even allowing for the fact it’s very difficult to get a result here. I’m going to keep stakes small, but I feel the value play is a small Real lay – I just expect a closer game than the odds suggest, and I’m happy with a 1.48 lay.
The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Villarreal at 1.48 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
