SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews EMPOLI v JUVENTUS and REAL SOCIEDAD v REAL MADRID both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
EMPOLI V JUVENTUS
5pm The European domestic season is back in full flow on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE after the International break, and we have a cracking Saturday ahead. Real Madrid are in action later in La Liga, but we kick off the day in Serie A as Juventus travel to take on Empoli. After everyone has played three games in Serie A, nobody has a 100% record but Juventus are up there with seven points. Empoli are unbeaten too, but they have had two draws and a win. Juventus have obviously had a very positive start to the season – back-to-back 3-0 wins against Como and Verona and then a 0-0 draw with Roma. However, they were quite average looking at the under-lining numbers last season and then finish the season with that horrible run too. Beating Como and Verona isn’t anything to get majorly excited about, and the jury is still out on this Juventus side. Empoli were involved in the relegation battle last season, so we might not learn too much about what to expect from Juventus this season here either. Juventus come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.78 with Empoli 5.6 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing.
Although Juventus have recorded two 3-0 wins, the stats say that they have been flattered by those results. Their average xG created is only 1.18 which isn’t impressive. You have to give them credit for getting the job done however, and obviously they are up against very limited opposition here. Empoli have only managed an average xG created of 0.92 which is the joint-third worst attacking figure in Serie A heading into this weekend. They finished last season with an average xG created of only 1.13, which was the second worst attacking figure – they didn’t even take all those chances as they averaged less than one goal per game. Obviously the hone side really struggle in front of goal, and Juventus have yet to concede a goal this season. Both Teams Not To Score is a very tempting bet at 1.82, but in my opinion that’s effectively a Juventus clean sheet, and from a value point of view I’d rather have a small bet on Juventus at four ticks lower. They might get exposed against better sides, but they should get the job done here.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Juventus to beat Empoli at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL SOCIEDAD V REAL MADRID
8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Saturday night as Real Sociedad host Real Madrid. La Liga took the option to squeeze in a mid-week fixture list prior to the International break, so most sides have played four fixtures. It looks like we might have a little more drama in the title race than last season as Barcelona have already built up a four point lead. As I said at the start of the season, with Barcelona’s issues off the field they needed a fast start this season to feel in the title race. Winning does tend to sort out everything off the field! Real Madrid will be very disappointed to drop four points already as they haven’t had a difficult fixture list by any means – they were held to draws against Mallorca and Las Palmas. Both of those fixtures were away from home, and they went off red-hot favourites for both too. Real Sociedad will be hoping to add to their away woes here! Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.76 with Real Sociedad 5.3 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing.
Real Sociedad have had quite a poor start to the season – they’ve only managed four points from their four games, and they’ve had a pretty easy fixture list too. They’ve played Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol, Alaves and Getafe – you could say those four will either be involved or won’t be far away from the relegation battle. What’s probably more concerning is the fact that they have played so poorly against limited opposition. Their average xG created of 0.88 is the worst attacking figure in La Liga. I know Real Madrid have struggled away from home at the start of the season, but they are played some superb football – their average xG created is 2.0 and it was just a case of them not taking chances against Las Palmas. With Real Sociedad playing so poorly, they are there for the taking in my opinion and the 1.76 on Real Madrid is my first five star NAP of the new season!
The Ultra Says:
Five points win Real Madrid to beat Real Sociedad at 1.76 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
