WALES v KAZAKHSTAN

7.45pm The World Cup Qualifiers continue on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with all eyes on Cardiff as Wales host Kazakhstan on Saturday night. It’s fair to say that Wales have struggled in recent years but they took a massive step forward in the last Nations League to top their B Group ahead of Turkey. It’ll be interesting to see how they get on in Group J. Everyone will expect Belgium to easily top this Group, then Wales to finish second ahead of North Macedonia, Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein.

Wales struggled in Euro 2024 qualifying finished behind Turkey and Croatia, but they got to the playoffs thanks to their Nations League ranking after getting into an A Group – they lost out on penalties against a weak Poland side – bitterly disappointing to miss a major tournament given that draw in the playoffs. Wales are at a tricky level in the Nations League; not good enough for an A Group but there’s a good chance that they can top a B Group – they’ll probably bounce up-and-down as they have done for a while now.

They can’t afford any slip ups when they have home advantage; especially if they are going to try and keep up with Belgium. This is a must win game in that sense. The market is exceptionally confident on a home win – Wales come into the game as the red-hot favourites. They are trading as short as 1.22 with Kazakhstan 18.5 and the draw is 7.4 at the time of writing. I have to say I was a little surprised to see Wales so short when I clicked into the market; obviously they deserve to be the odds on favoruites, but I wasn’t expecting 1.22!

Kazakhstan have made some decent progress. They were very competitive in their Euro 2024 qualifying Group finishing only four points behind Denmark and Slovenia who took the automatic qualifying spots. That put Kazakhstan into the playoffs, and they were hammered by a good Greece side 5-0. Obviously there is a big gulf in class between the sides here and while Wales were promoted from a B Group in the Nations League, Kazakhstan were relegated with just one point from six games in a Group with Norway, Austria and Slovenia.

While I do feel the 1.22 is too short on Wales, Kazakhstan’s away performances in the Nations League hardly inspire confidence. Hammered 5-0, 4-0 and 3-0. Wales have been rock solid at the back when they have home advantage too. I’m happy to keep stakes small here, but Both Teams Not To Score looks a nice option at 1.56 looking at that away record for Kazakhstan.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.56 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
