AC MILAN v INTER MILAN

7.45pm There’s only one game to focus on from Europe on Sunday, and that’s the Milan Derby from Serie A on Betdaq Betting Exchange! Obviously this is a bucket list fixture for many football fans, and time is running out too – this will be one of the final Derby della Madonnina at the San Siro. The Milan City Council approved the sale of the San Siro to both clubs last September, and with construction of a brand new 71,500-seat stadium set to begin in 2027 and the old ground facing demolition, the clock is ticking on one of football’s great cathedrals. This is technically a top of the table clash as first meets second, but Inter are running away with the title – they come into the weekend ten points clear of AC Milan.

Obviously we’re going to have plenty of history facts here for the next while, but Inter beat Milan 6-3 in the very first match played here! Hopefully we see plenty of drama but the final Derby here. Inter have been exceptional this season, and it’s no surprise to anyone who likes looking at xG figures that they are running away with the title. Their average xG created of 2.07 is the best attacking figure in Serie A – they are the only side averaging over 2.0 per game, and their average xG conceded of just 0.95 is also the best defensive figure, the only side conceding sub 1.0. They are title winning figures without any doubt; Juventus have got close in terms of performance levels, but they just haven’t been getting the results this season.

AC Milan’s numbers are still reasonably impressive – their average xG created of 1.55 is the sixth best attacking figure in Serie A, and their average xG conceded of 1.26 is also a solid defensive figure. They are decent figures, it’s just that Inter are operating on a different level this season so when you compare them to anyone else, Inter are miles clear. As you would expect, Inter come into the game as the favourites at 2.3 with AC Milan 3.85 and the draw is 3.25 at the time of writing. While Inter clearly should be favourites and they are playing superb football – AC Milan actually have a superb head-to-head record recently. They have basically had Inter’s number.

AC Milan are unbeaten in the last six meetings in all competitions, and they have won four of those too. As I said in a preview earlier in the season – on paper everything points to Inter here, but coming into the game as favourites, they recent head-to-head record does put you off Inter. Having said that, the last time the sides met this season Inter were trading 1.94 – now at 2.3 they are a much more tempting bet. We usually see drama when these sides meet, and you have to look at the goals market. Over 2.5 goals is trading 2.08 and Both Teams To Score is trading 1.81. I was slightly surprised to see those two prices – Both Teams To Score has landed in seven of the last eight meetings. Inter are a tempting bet at 2.3, but I feel the Both Teams To Score bet offers the best value here.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.81 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
