BUNDESLIGA/LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Sunday’s Bundesliga / La Liga games between AUGSBURG v SCHALKE, BAYER LEVERKUSEN v HOFFENHEIM and BARCELONA v LEVANTE all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
AUGSBURG V SCHALKE
2.30pm We have another fascinating day in the Bundesliga and we start with Augsburg hosting Schalke. Long-time readers will know how much I like to take on Schalke. This one is interesting because Augsburg are exactly in excellent form, and have only won once in their last eight. They aren’t exactly creating chances for fun and perhaps this is a chance for Schalke to actually win a game. That being said, I wouldn’t back them to win! The last time they won was in January and they have also been woeful away from home – although I take on board home and away form has changed given the Covid19 situation.
Augsburg are just a little too short for me at 2.0 here, and I expect a pretty low quality affair. I wouldn’t be surprised if Schalke went close to winning looking at their recent xG figures – they have been creating a little more lately. However they still have big issues at the back and with that in mind I feel it’s worth backing the draw here at very attractive odds of 3.7 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN V HOFFENHEIM
5pm While the first Bundesliga game might be a low quality affair, this one looks like it could be a cracker! These two are in excellent form and they’ve been banging in the goals for fun recently too. After selling some attacking talent in the transfer window it took Leverkusen a while to find their scoring boots this season but they have arrive with a bang! They have scored 16 goals in their last six games in all competitions and they are starting to defend a little better too. They still love to play an open game however, and that can only mean goals here.
Hoffenheim arrive in good form having won their last two while scoring seven. They have had their fair share of draws coming into this game but with the style of play Leverkusen like to employ I can’t see past a host of goals here. Over 2.5 goals looks fairly priced at 1.42 and while over 3.5 goals is very tempting at just a shade of odds against, I’m going to go with Both Teams To Score at 1.47. For me this game just screams goals and I’d have BTTS shorter than 1.4.

BARCELONA V LEVANTE
8pm We move to La Liga to finish the weekend as Barcelona host Levante. Barcelona suffered an embarrassing week after losing 2-1 to Cadiz they then went and lost 3-0 to Juventus at Camp Nou. We all know their dressing room issues this season and although I laid them midweek in the Champions League I expected a better performance. I thought the Ronaldo v Messi factor would being out the best in them but it really does look like Messi can’t wait to get away. Who would have thought that only a handful of years ago. They should be able to beat this Levante side but it’s very difficult to back them at 1.28 given the way they have played this season.
They started the weekend in 9th in La Liga – something we’ve never seen before really after everyone had played ten games! They do have two games in hand on a lot of sides, but Atletico sit on top 12 points ahead and they have also only played ten games. Levante are a very limited side but they can frustrate sides and with Barcelona struggling, under 3.5 goals is worth a small investment at 2.04. I can see Barcelona winning but it being a little bit more difficult than odds of 1.28 say.
