5pm The focus on Sunday from Europe is on Serie A as Cremonese host Inter Milan on Betdaq Betting Exchange! This is a game that Inter will be fully expected to win as they continue their run to the Serie A title again. They are playing the best football in Italy this season, and anyone who is a fan of xG is expecting them to build a little gap as we go along. They now have a nice five point cushion at the top of the table after winning last weekend, then they could put their feet up and watch AC Milan, Roma and Napoli all drop points.
You can really see that is a miss-match when you look at the under-lining numbers. Inter Milan have the best attacking figure with an average xG created of 2.02, while Cremonese currently have the worst attacking figure with an average xG created of just 0.99. Inter are the only Serie A side with an average xG created over 2.0 and Cremonese are the only side with a figure sub 1.0! Inter also have the best defensive figure with an average xG conceded of just 0.96 – the only side with an average xG conceded sub 1.0. Just exceptionally good football, and while they dropped a few points early in the season they have been clearly the best side.
Not only do Cremonese have the worst attacking figure, they also have the worst defensive figure. Their average xG conceded is 1.81 – it’s a miracle that they aren’t in the relegation zone to be honest. You have to give them some credit for grinding out as many results as they have done – they currently have six point cushion on the bottom three which is fantastic when you look at their under-lining numbers to be honest. It’s very difficult to see past an Inter win here, and it’s no surprise to see them come into the game as the red-hot favourites. Inter are trading 1.32 with Cremonese 12.0 and the draw is 6.0 at the time of writing.
I feel this one is going to be about how many goals can Inter score rather than will they actually win. Obviously there’s no prizes for tipping 1.32 shots, so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value – although that being said I’d happily include Inter in any weekend Acca! The market has Over 2.5 goals odds on at 1.72, but it’s also expecting Inter to do most of the work as Both Teams To Score is 2.2. Both Teams Not To Score looks a nice bet given how solid Inter have been at the back and how poor Cremonese have been in attack. Another nice option is Inter to cover the 1.5 goal handicap which is trading 1.94. That looks cracking value with the volume of chances Cremonese are conceding and how good Inter have been in attack – I feel we’re getting enough value for a Five Star NAP!
