EURO QUALIFIERS: The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between KAZAKHSTAN v NORTHERN IRELAND and REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v NETHERLANDS both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
KAZAKHSTAN V NORTHERN IRELAND
2pm We’re into the second stage of the International break on Sunday as we have the next round of Euro 2024 Qualifiers on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. We kick off the day early as Kazakhstan host Northern Ireland in Group I. Northern Ireland have been poor thus far in this Group, and posted another loss on Thursday night away to Slovenia. Apart from San Marino, who are one of the worst International teams, Northern Ireland have become adrift in this Group. Finland currently top the Group with 12 points with Denmark moving up into second on the same amount of points as Slovenia on ten, and then Kazakhstan in the mix after with nine. After their Nations League campaign where they topped their Group, Kazakhstan have the luxury of already being assured a spot in the playoffs at least. If Kazakhstan have any chance of getting into the top two however, this is a must win game for them. Both sides are pretty much at the same level – they were both in a Nations League C Group for example – but from a Kazakhstan point of view, you have to be beating sides like Northern Ireland with home advantage.
Northern Ireland would have been thinking the same thing when they had home advantage, however Kazakhstan beat them 1-0 in June. It was an exceptionally tight game and the winner didn’t come until right at the death. It’s hard to see anything bar another very close and cagey game here; although Northern Ireland were very open on Thursday night as Slovenia won 4-2! It’s not often you see a high scoring Northern Ireland game like that. I have to say I was very surprised to see Northern Ireland trading as the favourites here when I clicked into the market. They are 2.72 at the time of writing with Kazakhstan 3.25 and the draw is 3.1. I would nearly have the odds the other way around, and I just can’t have Northern Ireland as favourites here based on their current performances and then going back to the Nations League. All their better performances have come at home too, and the 2.72 really jumps off the page here as an excellent value lay.
The Ultra Says:
Four points lay (liability) Northern Ireland to beat Kazakhstan at 2.72 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V NETHERLANDS
7.45pm Next we move over to Group B to finish the evening as the Republic of Ireland host Netherlands. Although you have to be realistic and say that we cannot expect Ireland to be beating the likes of France away from home, you can definitely feel the heat growing on manager Stephen Kenny. He has a huge support base from the League of Ireland, but time is ticking away and another defeat here would pile the pressure on. Kenny has a terrible record as Ireland manager when you look at the bare stats, and although the side is currently going through a period of transition and clearly lacking talent – that tends to result in a manager getting sacked! The stats from the Irish squad are certainly damning – they don’t have any quality Premier League players bar Evan Ferguson who is only very young, and currently injured for this International break too. You could only laugh at Stephen Kenny when he remarked that if Ireland beat the Netherlands they would be on the same amount of points as Netherlands and Greece. Not allowing for the fact the Netherlands have played a game less, and also Greece are at home to Gibraltar today too; they are currently trading 1.03 to win! He would have been better off saying nothing.
Despite the poor standard of football from Ireland lately, they will have very good support in Dublin. Nevertheless, Netherlands come into the game as the odds on favourites. They are trading 1.65 at the time of writing with Republic of Ireland 6.0 and the draw is 4.3. We haven’t saw much from Ireland to suggest that they can pull off a shock here; they barely created anything against France and they really struggle to create chances in general. We landed our Both Teams Not To Score bet with France keeping a clean sheet on Thursday, but I’m happy to keep it more simple here and go with the Netherlands win at 1.65. There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides in my opinion, and I’d have Netherlands ten ticks shorter. The best Ireland can hope for is a 0-0 in my opinion, and while Netherlands have been involved in some low scoring games they generally play an open and attacking brand of football in qualifiers. They should be too good here.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Netherlands to beat Republic of Ireland at 1.65 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
