SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s top games from La Liga and Serie A all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

CELTA VIGO V ATLETICO MADRID

3.15pm It’s another fascinating day around Europe this Sunday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have three very interesting markets from La Liga and Serie A to go through, and we kick off the action in La Liga as Celta Vigo host Atletico Madrid. Celta Vigo have been involved in the relegation battle this season, but their performances weren’t bad and they were never expected to go down – two back-to-back wins over Athletic Bilbao and Real Betis have given them a cushion as they jumped up the table. They might have started the weekend sitting in 12th, but they were still only four points off the bottom three. Atletico would have been gutted to drop points at home to Getafe last weekend, and they recorded a very low xG figure too. Getafe actually created more than them, and odds on backers of Atletico got their fingers burnt again this season. I think it’s fair to say that Atletico haven’t been at their best this season, they remained in the top four after the draw but they are under pressure. Perhaps it’s not a bad thing they were so poor in the Champions League that they didn’t even get to the Europa League so they can focus on La Liga.

Atletico would usually be shorter than their current 2.28 for this fixture, but it’s a sign of the season they are having. They haven’t got bad under-lining numbers – the average xG created of 1.7 is absolutely fine but they just aren’t taking those chances. Their games have actually had very low goals, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see another low scoring game here. I know Celta Vigo had a poor start to the season and they were down towards the bottom, but their average xG conceded this season is only 1.3 which isn’t too bad at all. It’s actually the same figure as Atletico. Celta Vigo usually keep games tight, unless of course you watched them last weekend against Real Betis – that was an absolutely thriller with a 4-3 win – they gave away a host of chances which isn’t like them. With Atletico not creating a lot, I feel we’ll see a close and cagey game here. Under 2.5 goals stands out at 1.64 – I even wouldn’t be surprised to see a final score of 0-0.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.64 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V FIORENTINA

5pm Next we move to Serie A as Juventus host Fiorentina. Juventus have been the talk of Serie A lately after their 15 point deduction after an investigation into their transfer dealings. That has dropped them down to mid-table, and they went through a tough period results wise either side of that news too. They got hammered 5-1 by Napoli, then drew 3-3 with Atalanta the weekend the new came out, and then lost 2-0 to Monza. They start the weekend only two points ahead of Fiorentina, and to be honest Juventus getting even close to the European spots this season looks a very long shot. That will be a big blow for the club – not only money wise but attracting bigger names to club will be hard with no Champions League football. Before the 15 points deduction, Juventus were sitting in the top four and while they haven’t been playing their best football this season you have to give them credit for grinding out results. They will be a popular bet here at 1.9 to beat an average Fiorentina side, especially with home advantage. They have been very strong at home this season, and Fiorentina have less points than games played away from home too.

Fiorentina will come into this game trying to keep things as tight as possible. They tend to not concede a lot of chances, but they don’t create much either. The average goals per Serie A game they are involved in comes in at 2.4 – you wouldn’t want to be an Overs backer with them involved! Under 2.5 goals is trading odds on here, and it’s hard to argue with that because Juventus haven’t exactly been banging in goals for fun. They netted three against Salernitana on Tuesday night which would have been a welcome confidence boost. Salernitana are only three points behind Fiorentina in the table, and Juventus completely bossed that game. I know Juventus haven’t been at their best this season, and there’s a lot going on off the field, but the 1.9 is massive in my opinion. Some bets are too big to turn down, and this is worth a Max Bet for me – it’s my best bet of the weekend!

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Juventus to beat Fiorentina at 1.9 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

VILLARREAL V BARCELONA

8pm We move back to La Liga to finish an intriguing Sunday as Villarreal host Barcelona. It was an excellent weekend for Barcelona last week, not only did they land a Max Bet for us at 2.03 to cover the handicap against Sevilla, Real Madrid also lost which gave them an eight point lead at the top of La Liga. After such dark times last season, they look like bouncing straight back with a title – they even came into this season with a lot of drama off the pitch too! The board still have money worries, but on the pitch they have been fantastic. Their average xG going forward this season in La Liga is 2.5 and their average conceded xG is only 0.9. They are top class figures, and it’s hard to see them losing the title from here. They have a chance to go 11 points clear this weekend with Real Madrid busy with the FIFA Club World Cup – I said last weekend that Real couldn’t afford to lose last weekend because of the situation – an 11 point gap is going to be hard to come back from mentally even with a game in hand. Real fans will be hoping that Villarreal can do them a massive favour here, and they will give it a good go too as they have been rock solid at home this season. They are sitting in the top four on home form.

Barcelona come into the game trading the odds on favourites at 1.87. They will be a popular selection at those odds given the way they are playing this season, but as you can see they aren’t too short – there’s plenty of layers around! The remarkable thing about them opening up this eight point lead is they weren’t even playing their best football since resuming their season after the World Cup. They conceded a higher xG figure than they created in the wins against Atletico Madrid, Getafe and Girona – their xG figures were only 1.09, 0.76 and 0.86. They hit form again away to Real Betis with an xG of 2.53 and they completely bossed the game against Sevilla last weekend – they scored three and only conceded an xG of 0.11! Villarreal come into this game having lost back-to-back games, and their performances against Elche last weekend was very worrying. They were so poor, and conceded an xG of 3.11 – Elche have been nailed to the bottom of the table too, it was their first win all season. I’m not going to go too mad with the stakes here, but Barcelona are in peak form again and the 1.87 is a good value bet – they are a better side than Villarreal.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Barcelona to beat Villarreal at 1.87 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
