SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews the matches between GETAFE v BARCELONA, ATLETICO MADRID v ALMERIA, and ROMA V UDINESE all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
GETAFE V BARCELONA
3.15pm We have a fascinating Sunday around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Roma all in action in La Liga and Serie A. We kick off the day in La Liga as Barcelona travel to take on Getafe. Despite only being able to draw 0-0 with Girona on Monday night, Barcelona extended their lead at the top of La Liga after Real Madrid were beaten by Villarreal. The lead is now 13 points, and the title race is basically over. It’s clear that Real Madrid aren’t overly bothered by La Liga now – all their focus is on the Champions League at the moment. That leaves the way clear for Barcelona to just see out the season now. Although on the face of it you could say it’s been a disappointing season outside of La Liga, to return to La Liga Champions is a massive success for the club, especially after everything they went through off the pitch and then Messi leaving as well. Getafe are still involved in the relegation battle, so they won’t be planning on just rolling over for Barca here. They started the weekend sitting just three points away from the bottom three.
Barcelona let their backers down on Monday night at home to Girona – they went off very short odds and had to settle for a 0-0 draw. Perhaps that’s why they are trading as high as 1.63 for this tie. On the face of things, that is a very appealing price. Getafe are a better side with home advantage compared to away, however they are still down the bottom of the table on home form. They sit just outside the bottom three of the home form table, and Barcelona have been fantastic away from home this season too. Getafe managed to put four results together, but apart from Athletic Bilbao they were playing sides around them in the table – I have to say I expected to see Barcelona trading shorter than 1.63 when I clicked into the market. It was disappointing they didn’t create enough to beat Girona so I’m not going to go too mad with the stakes, however the 1.63 is very much worth backing in my opinion.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Barcelona to beat Getafe at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATLETICO MADRID V ALMERIA
5.30pm We stay in La Liga next as Atletico Madrid host Almeria. On paper this should be a comfortable home win for Atletico – they have been playing great football lately and they’ve put together a very impressive unbeaten run. Their only win without a win recently was a 1-1 draw away to Real Madrid. Almeria are locked in a relegation battle, however they recorded a huge 2-1 win over Valencia last weekend. That was a massive win as it puts them three points ahead of Valencia and indeed the relegation zone. That game was a must win game for them with home advantage, because they have been two different teams at home and away this season! At home they have been very solid, even impressive at times, and it’s been a completely different story away from home. They have only managed four points away from home all season which is the worst return in La Liga. It’s hard to have any confidence in them with that record, and this should be a one way traffic win for Atletico. The market agrees as Atletico are trading as short as 1.26 at the time of writing. We’re going to have to look around the side markets for some value, but I couldn’t put anyone off including Atletico in your weekend Acca!
I feel this game is all about how many goals Atletico can score rather than will they win. Almeria are conceding an average xG of 2.1 this season which is very high, and that includes their home games too which they have been much better in. Away from home they have clearly had major issues, and Atletico couldn’t be in a better spot at the moment. They started the seasons slowly, but they are flying now. They might even catch Real Madrid for second given Real will be focusing on the Champions League. Atletico’s recent xG figures have been 2.10, 1.83, 3.05, 2.21 and 2.93. They are creating a lot of chances, and I like them to cover the 1.5 goal Handicap at 1.77. I was very surprised to see a price this high clicking into the market and felt we’d see Atletico closer to 1.6 here. I believe we’re getting enough value for a Max Bet, and hopefully we can continue our great run with the Max Bets this week!
The Ultra Says:
Five points win Atletico Madrid -1.5 goals to beat Almeria at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ROMA V UDINESE
7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish what is a brilliant Sunday in Europe. Roma host Udinese hoping to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday night. On balance, Roma won’t be too unhappy they were the better side – created an xG of over double what they conceded – and it was always going to be a difficult night. Ideally they would have taken a draw and get back to Rome, but now they have to win the second leg. The big games keep coming however, they can’t afford to drop points in Serie A as they battle for a top four finish and Champions League football next season. They also picked up a few injuries on Thursday night, so we could easily see some movement on the team news here. A win over Torino last weekend moved Roma up to third with AC Milan and Inter Milan dropping points. Roma have dropped a few points themselves, and that has left them five points behind Lazio sitting in second. You’d have to expect AC Milan and Inter Milan finish the season strongly, so Roma are under pressure to keep winning – especially their home games. Udinese currently sit in mid-table, and they have been reasonably solid away from home this season. This will be a tough test for Roma.
There’s going to be some big opinions on the Roma price on either side of the book here. They are currently trading 1.99 at the time of writing, and that price is positioned perfectly in my opinion. Udinese have been very tough to beat lately – they have only been beaten once in their last six games, including a 3-1 win over AC Milan. They did get beaten 3-1 away to Inter Milan before that run, and their only loss in that six run game came away from home too so there is plenty of positives for Roma. I would worry about the injuries they picked up on Thursday night, and will Mourinho risk them here rather than a second leg of a Quarter-Final next week? I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here, and instead focus on the goals market. Roma have been rock solid at the back this season – their average xG conceded is only 0.8. Udinese don’t create a lot or concede a lot either – their average xG created is the same as their average conceded at 1.3. I like Under 2.5 goals at 1.69 in what should be a very cagey affair. If Roma could grind out a 1-0 win it would be a massive result for them, but you wouldn’t be surprised to see them held to a draw either. This should be tense viewing to end the weekend!
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
