SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews JUVENTUS v INTER MILAN with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

Juventus host Inter Milan in the latest top class fixture from Serie A; Inter Milan came through another huge clash on Monday night with a win over Fiorentina. That left them only one point behind Napoli at the top of the table after Napoli dropped points against Udinese. As I said in my preview of the Inter Milan v Fiorentina game, Inter have a huge fixture list coming up that will likely decide the title race – Juventus here, then Napoli early March and Atalanta mid-March.
Hopefully we get as much drama as when the sides met back in October; we saw an incredible 4-4 draw! Juventus actually kept their unbeaten run through to late January and although that sounds like a good record, they had so many draws they were miles off the title race. They start the weekend sitting 12 points behind Napoli, and they have a top four battle on their hands with Lazio. They also have Champions League knockout action either side of this game – they won 2-1 here on Tuesday and obviously might have a nervy away tie for the second leg against PSV – but at least they got the job done this week.
We have an open betting heat. Inter Milan come into the game as the favourites at 2.3 with Juventus 3.55 and the draw is 3.45 at the time of writing. Inter Milan have clearly been playing the better football this season, but there’s no getting away from the fact that Juventus have been very tough to beat this season too. I feel the 2.36 is a little short on Inter here – Juventus have an average xG conceded of just 1.04 this season which is the second best defensive figure in Serie A. At home the figure drops to 0.86 as well.
Inter have also been very good at the back; they are only 0.01 behind Juventus on the defensive table. Under 2.5 goals might be a popular choice here at around 1.8 – I actually backed that the last time the sides met and it finished 4-4! From a value point of view, it’s hard to see past the Inter lay at 2.3 in my opinion – I know Juventus have been very limited at times going forward, but they’ve made up for that by being so solid at the back, and we know with their record this season they’ve been very tough to beat. I feel Inter will have to work very hard to grind out a win here, and the game will be closer than the odds suggest.
