SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews three games on Sunday all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ELCHE V ATLETICO MADRID

3.15pm We’re ticking day the matchdays in Europe, and we have another interesting Sunday in Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. I’m happy to focus on three markets from La Liga and Serie A as Atletico Madrid, Roma and Barcelona are all in action away from home. We start the day in La Liga as Elche host Atletico Madrid – the market is fully expecting an Atletico Madrid win here with the away side trading 1.4 at the time of writing. Elche have been nailed to the bottom of the table basically the whole season and they haven’t shown many signs of being even close to the standard required in La Liga. I feel this is a case of how many goals Atletico Madrid will score rather than will they win – and I am tempted by the 1.4 on offer. I couldn’t put anyone off backing that, or indeed including Atletico in your weekly Acca. Elche have only managed 16 points all season – that’s 15 points off the 19th placed side which is quite remarkable really. That’s aren’t many positives to speak about from an Elche point of view!

The only slight positive for Elche is that they have managed more points at home this season compared to away from home. Ten points from 16 home games is hardly a good return though – I doubt sides feel this is a tricky place to visit with that record. They did win their last home game 4-0 here however against Rayo Vallecano – that result is very much an outlier in their form. They are conceding an average xG of 2.3 which must be one of the highest conceded averages from Europe’s major leagues. Up front, they are scoring less than one goal per game too. Atletico have been finishing the season like a train – they are playing some great football, look full of confidence and have been banging in goals for fun. They’ve scored 13 goals in their last three games, and I’m confident that they can cover the Handicap here. They are trading 2.07 to cover the 1.5 goal Handicap which looks cracking value, I’m happy to have a Max Bet at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Atletico Madrid -1.5 goals to beat Elche at 2.07 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BOLOGNA V ROMA

5pm Next we move over to Serie A for another huge game for Roma as they travel to take on Bologna. Roma have already had a huge month of fixtures, and they’ve had good and bad results. With losses against Atalanta and Inter Milan they have dropped out of the top four, draws against AC Milan and Monza didn’t help either and they found themselves sitting down in seventh after the loss last weekend. Five points behind Inter Milan, it looks like their top four chances are very bleak. However, they can get into the Champions League through winning the Europa League and they are in a nice position there after winning the first leg against Bayer Leverkusen 1-0. They had home advantage, and face a tricky away leg now next week but I’m sure Mourinho has a plan to successfully park the bus! It will be interesting to see how Mourinho approaches this fixture – Roma can’t afford to ease off in Serie A to be honest. If they don’t win the Europa League, they’ll have to at least get back into it next season so they need a strong finish domestically. They’ve had issues with injuries of course, but they desperately need a Serie A win after four games without one.

They come into the game as favourites, but we have an open betting heat. Roma are trading 2.56, Bologna are 3.3 and the draw is 3.2 at the time of writing. Bologna come into the game off a run of five games without a win – they have managed to draw with AC Milan and Juventus here during that time however. Bologna are a classic mid-table Serie A side, but their home form is very strong. I feel if Mourinho opts to name a weaker than usual side here then Roma will suffer – he’s in a tough position though – really and truly he can’t afford to name a weaker side but the Europa League game is so important too. Bologna concede marginally more chances than they create on average, but they don’t usually play an open game. They’ll keep this game as tight as possible, and Roma haven’t been scoring a lot of goals lately at all. Under 2.5 goals looks the standout bet here at 1.6 in what should be a very cagey affair.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ESPANYOL V BARCELONA

8pm We move back to La Liga to finish the weekend as Espanyol host Barcelona. The outlook for both sides here couldn’t be anymore different! Barcelona are looking to confirm the La Liga title, although we’ve all know for weeks they are going to win it. It’s not like Napoli where we saw incredible scenes when they confirmed the title in Serie A after so long. Winning titles is more routine for Barcelona, but I’m sure it will feel brilliant for them to bounce back after everything the side has gone through over the last two seasons – especially off the field too. For Espanyol, they are looking at relegation at the moment and Barcelona are the last side they’ll want to face I’m sure! The only positive thing from an Espanyol point of view is that Barcelona have dropped a few points lately – they drew 0-0 with Girona and Getafe, then lost away to Rayo Vallecano. The title has been won for weeks to be honest, but the chance to confirm it now might perk them up rather than just playing out the games. Things look bleak for Espanyol regardless; they started the weekend three points away from Getafe and Valencia so basically need a win soon just to get back into the mix to stay up.

I can’t see them staying up to be honest. They still have to play Atletico Madrid too who have been finishing the season very strongly. Plus, they have a decent chance of finishing ahead of Real Madrid so that’s something to play for. Espanyol haven’t been good enough at home this season too – they’ve only managed 17 points from 16 games which is the second worst home record in La Liga. The only side with a worse record is Elche who have been nailed to the bottom of the table all season. I have to say I was surprised to see Barcelona trading as big as 1.68 when I clicked into the market here – I felt they would be trading under 1.6. There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides here, and I know there’s an element of Espanyol “need to win” etc but Barcelona should outclass them. I won’t go mad with stakes because Barcelona have dropped points away from home, but Espanyol concede too many chances to get a result here in my opinion and the 1.68 is worth backing.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Barcelona to beat Espanyol at 1.68 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
