SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews REAL MADRID v SEVILLA, ATALANTA v EMPOLI and MONZA v JUVENTUS all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
REAL MADRID V SEVILLA
3.15pm It’s a cracking Sunday from Europe with top class action from La Liga and Serie A on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We kick the day off in La Liga as Real Madrid host Sevilla – it wasn’t so long ago that this used to be a huge top four clash, but that’s not the case anymore as Sevilla have turned into a mid-table side. I thought when they won the Europa League despite missing out on the top four, they would bounce back up but that hasn’t been the case. It feels like it will be a long time before the challenge for the European spots again to be honest – they have a mid-table xG figure this season. Real Madrid fans will be glued to the TV on Saturday night as Barcelona clash with Atletico Madrid in a top of the table clash – a draw there would be the best outcome for Real Madrid, and then they have a chance to go top here. As things stand coming into the weekend, they are still in a reasonably strong position only one point behind Barcelona with a game in hand. Atletico Madrid also have a game in hand however, but Real Madrid are due to play that game in hand over the Christmas and New Year period against Valencia – a game they should win.
As you would expect, Real Madrid come into the game as the red-hot favourites. The home win is trading 1.35 with Sevilla 9.8 and the draw is 6.0 at the time of writing. Sevilla have been playing some very average football this season; their average xG created is only 1.27 and they’ve actually been struggling to even convert those chances. There is clearly something amiss with Real Madrid this season – they are grinding out results rather than blowing sides away. Mabppe has got a lot of criticism about not fitting into the system with his work rate and how that is having a negative impact on Bellingham, but he is always going to be an easy target. I feel Real will boss this game though, and I like two options – Both Teams Not To Score at 2.03 or Real Madrid -1.5 goals at 1.95. I actually couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest; but I feel there’s slightly more value in the handicap bet at 1.95. Sevilla are there for the taking in my opinion and I expect a comfortable Real win.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Real Madrid -1.5 goals to beat Sevilla at 1.95 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATALANTA V EMPOLI
5pm We move over to Serie A next, and we have another red-hot home favourite here as Atalanta host Empoli. Atalanta come into this weekend sitting top of the table, and while Empoli sit in mid-table there are some huge red flags in their performance levels. They might be sitting in tenth coming into the weekend, but they are only five points off the relegation zone which doesn’t seem that far away given they have the worst attacking figure in Serie A this season. Empoli have an average xG created of just 0.92 – they are the only side with an average xG created under 1.0 in Serie A this season. They have been grinding out results though, and you have to give them credit for that. They have been massively over-performing at the back – their average xG conceded is 1.42 but their actual figure is only 1.0. If sides start taking their chances against them, then they will be in big trouble. They face the best attacking side in Italy here this season too, Atalanta have been absolutely fantastic in front of goal, and they deserve to be sitting on top – however you just know there’s going to be drama in the title race!
Atalanta are trading as short as 1.3 with Empoli 13.5 and the draw is 6.0 at the time of writing. It’s hard to have much faith in Empoli looking at their under-lining numbers – the most positive thing you could say about them is that they are grinding out results. In my opinion, their best hope for a result here is a 0-0 draw and I feel they will approach the game like that too. They have been getting away with things at the back, so they could make life difficult for Atalanta. I’d still expect Atalanta to get the job done, but Under 2.5 goals could be an interesting bet at 2.32. Given the poor attacking figure for Empoli however, I prefer Both Teams Not To Score at 1.73 – effectively an Atalanta clean sheet in my opinion. I can see Atalanta having to grind out a win here rather than blowing Empoli away, but they should control the ball and I don’t see Empoli creating much.

MONZA V JUVENTUS
7.45pm We stay in Serie A to finish Sunday from Europe as Monza host Juventus. We have another odds on favourite here in the shape of Juventus, but it’s a very difficult market to the Real Madrid and Atalanta games above. Juventus are the only side unbeaten in Serie A this season, but that doesn’t mean it’s been a successful run for their backers! They’ve had ten draws from their 16 games, and that leaves them coming into this weekend sitting outside the top five. They are nine points off Atalanta at the top of the table – while they have been hard to beat, they’ve also been finding it hard to create good quality chances and score. We have a very interesting market here – it’s been hard to have a lot of faith in Juventus this season given their troubles up front, but they face a very average Monza side here who sit in the relegation zone coming into this weekend. Juventus are trading 1.7 with Monza 6.6 and the draw is 3.8 at the time of writing. If the alarm bells weren’t ringing for Juventus yet, they will be if they have to suffer another draw here!
It would take a brave punter to back Juventus at odds on away from home this season, but this Monza side are there for the taking. Monza have the second worst attacking figure in Serie A with an average xG created of only 1.01. They have struggled to convert those chances too, scoring less than a goal a game. Juventus haven’t been much better though – their average xG created is only 1.23 which is closer to the bottom of the table than the top. Juventus have been exceptional at the back though – they have one of the best defensive figures in Europe this season. I wouldn’t be rushing to back Juventus at odds on here, but they should control the game. Under 2.5 goals is odds on at 1.67 so the market is expecting a pretty cagey game; however I marginally prefer Both Teams Not To Score at 1.7. I feel that offers a lot of value – Monza have been really struggling to score and they face one of the best sides at the back in Europe this season – plus Juventus might struggle to score themselves.

Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.7 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
