VILLARREAL V BARCELONA

4.30pm Another fascinating Sunday around Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We have action from La Liga and Serie A with both current Champions playing as Napoli host Sassuolo later and we start the evening with Villarreal hosting Barcelona. This is the best fixture in Europe this weekend in my opinion – Villarreal were very impressive at home last season and that’s reflected in the price of Barcelona here. At the time of writing, they are trading odds against at 2.08 with Villarreal 3.6 and the draw is 3.85. I’m sure the 2.08 will be a very popular bet this weekend – I know this is a tough place to come and win, but Barcelona have a very good record here. They have won on their last four visits here; indeed they have won seven of the last eight meetings. After drawing their opening game of the season against Getafe, Barcelona find themselves on the backfoot in the title race but it is very early days still. Villarreal were edged out by Real Betis on the opening weekend, but they bounced back to win last weekend against Mallorca.

If I was a Villarreal fan, I wouldn’t be too worried about the Real Betis loss. They finished the game with a higher xG figure and didn’t play bad football. I would be more worried about dealing with an excellent Barcelona side, and it’s hard to get away from the 2.08 here given the head-to-head record Barcelona have too. With Barcelona roaring back to their best last season and creating some incredible xG figures, I do feel that the 2.08 is too big here. The only thing stopping me having a Max Bet is that Villarreal were rock solid at home last season – they finished inside the top four on the home form table and that has to be respected. That said, I’d still have Barcelona odds on here and the 2.08 is worth a confident bet. They only beat Cadiz last weekend so I’m not going to rave too much, but they created a host of chances and looked in great form – it took them over 80 minutes to score, but their xG figure was very high at 2.46.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Barcelona to beat Villarreal at 2.08 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

NAPOLI V SASSUOLO

7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish the evening as the Champions are in action hosting Sassuolo. I don’t think Napoli fans will ever get used to being called Champions after having to wait for so long! We had a similar fairytale story in Serie A recently with AC Milan lilting the title, and it will be interesting to see how Napoli perform this season. AC Milan went back to having to fight for a top four spot, and they would have missed out if Juventus didn’t get deducted points too. They started their season with a comfortable 3-1 win over Frosinone, but they would have been expected to do that in fairness – it wasn’t all plain sailing as they conceded an early goal but bounced back nicely. Apart from the early goal, they controlled the game and conceded a low xG figure. Sassuolo started their season with a 2-0 loss against Atalanta, and although they were able to hold on until the 83rd minute it was always likely Atalanta would find a goal rather than Sassuolo. Napoli have won the last three meetings between the sides, but longer term they don’t have a fantastic record against Sassuolo – they’ve only won 57% of the meetings which is on the low side given the gulf in class between the sides. Sassuolo are your classic mid-table Serie A side; they have finished between 8th and 13th in every season since 2015/16 when they managed to finish in the top six.

Most football fans will be expecting Napoli to win here, especially considering that they were so good at home last season. They come into this game as the heavy odds on favourites – they are 1.36 at the time of writing with Sassuolo 9.4 and the draw is 5.8. I couldn’t put anyone off Napoli a 1.36, and it’s a selection for any Acca this weekend. With Napoli that short however, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. The recent clashes between these sides have had plenty of goals – four of the last five meetings have had Over 2.5 goals, and that’s trading pretty short here at 1.48. I have to say I wasn’t expected to see Overs that short, and from a value point of view I’m happy to have a small bet on Under 2.5 goals at 2.9 or bigger. Sassuolo will put XI men behind the ball here in search of a result, and although they might come up short I feel we’re getting craxcking value on Unders.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 2.9 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
