NAPOLI V JUVENTUS

7.45pm We have a blockbuster from Serie A on Sunday! There’s no doubt what the highlight fixture is on Betdaq Betting Exchange as Napoli host Juventus in the latest massive clash from Italy. We’ve already had plenty of drama at the top of the table in Serie A this season – everyone has dropped points at some stage. We come into this weekend with just one point between AC Milan, Napoli, Inter Milan and Roma.

You’d almost have to call this a must win game for Juventus to get back into the mix too. A huge boost for them would be a direct blow to the competition too, a real six pointer. At the moment, Juventus are five points off top spot. Juventus have been a little unlucky to not be closer in the title race, but it’s clear where the problem lies. They are creating plenty of chances, but they aren’t taking them. Their average xG created of 1.86 is the second best attacking figure in Serie A – but their actual goals scored average is only 1.31 – that’s quite a difference, and plenty of points left behind.

Juventus have also been excellent at the back. Their average xG conceded is only 1.12, the third best defensive figure in Serie A this season. There’s very little between the sides at the back here – Napoli’s figure is only 0.01 off Juventus. Napoli haven’t been creating as much as Juventus in front of goal, but the key difference is they have been taking their chances. We should have a fascinating game ahead though; I would suggest Juventus have been playing the better football but they just haven’t got the results they’ve deserved.

It’s no surprise that we have a reasonably open betting heat. Napoli are the favourites at 2.56 with Juventus 3.55 and the draw is 3.0 at the time of writing. Everything about this game screams a very close affair, and it is hard to get away from the draw at 3.0. I would also be tempted to lay Napoli at 2.56 – I’d actually have the sides closer together in the betting given how good Juventus have been playing, but I fully accept they’ve struggled to convert their chances and score goals.

Another option has to be Under 2.5 goals at 1.55 in what should be a very cagey game. Both sides have been very impressive at the back, and I can’t see either of them wanting a very open game here. That being said, at 1.55 the market is also expecting a quiet game so there isn’t too much value on offer there. I expect a very close game, and on balance it’s hard to get away from the draw here at 3.0.

The Ultra Says:
