ROMA V LAZIO

7.45pm We have a smaller than usual Sunday schedule from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this week. It’s a Cope del Rey weekend in Spain, and the Bundesliga isn’t back yet so the focus is still fully on Serie A. We have an absolute cracker from Serie A as Roma host Lazio! These two clubs have had very different seasons thus far – Roma have been through a lot, changing their manager and bringing Claudio Ranieri out of retirement. Lazio have shown a lot of improvement – especially up front – and they come into this matchday sitting in the top four.

We have the Italian Super Cup taking place in Saudi Arabia at the moment, but over the last few weeks the top three have moved away from Lazio. They are still in pole position at the moment for fourth but Fiorentina and Juventus are breathing down their neck. The title race and the race for European spots should be good in Italy this season! We have a very open betting heat here; Roma come into the game as favourites with home advantage at 2.64 with Lazio 3.1 and the draw is 3.25 at the time of writing. While there’s a big gap between the sides in the table, their under-lining numbers aren’t far away.

They currently have the fourth and fifth best attacking figures in Serie A. Lazio have been marginally better by 0.10. Lazio have also been better at the back – they have an average xG conceded of 1.12 and Roma have a figure of 1.28. Both sides are conceding more goals than they should be though – Lazio have actually be a little sloppy at the back at times. Obviously Lazio have really improved going forward because their attacking figure was very poor last season – that’s been a huge positive for them, and to be honest I am slightly surprised to see Roma as favourites here.

Lazio have been conceding more chances away from home this season, but their away figures are still good. They recently beat Napoli away from home too. Despite a change in manager and what Roma have been through, we haven’t really seen a lot of improvement on the pitch. They’ve lost seven of their last eleven Serie A games, and with Lazio playing good football this season I’m happy with a Roma lay here. Obviously we do have an open betting heat, but I still feel that the 2.64 is too short on the home win. Lazio can get a result here.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Roma to beat Lazio at 2.64 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
