HUNGARY V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

2pm It’s a massive Sunday from the World Cup Qualifiers! England and Ireland are back in action after both picked up wins on Thursday night, and don’t forget both games are 0% Commission on Betdaq Betting Exchange! Undoubtedly the highlight of the day is Hungary v the Republic of Ireland in Group F. Ireland were really up against things in this Group after losing early to Armenia – still their only points – but they blew up things on Thursday night with a win over Portugal. Dublin was absolutely rocking; quite possibly a night Ronaldo will never forget given the noise as he got sent off. That result leaves Portugal with work to do given they only have a two point lead over Hungary and three over Ireland – however given they are at home against Armenia while these two are playing they should still top the Group. They are trading 1.09 to win against Armenia after all! So, all the focus falls to this fixture to decide who finishes second and gets that Playoff spot – this is Ireland’s biggest game for years to be honest; they have been so poor for quite a while now. In some regard, the performance on Thursday gave from nowhere.

It will be very interesting to see how this game plays out; Ireland need to win, Hungary will be happy with a draw. Ireland sometimes find it difficult to make the running in games, and it’ll be interesting to see what approach Hungary take. It’s no surprise with home advantage that Hungary come into the game as the favourites – they are trading 1.9 with Republic of Ireland 4.6 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing. While the result on Thursday in Dublin was remarkable; it was one of those nights for Portugal. They finished with 77% possession and an xG of 3.02! On another night, they could have won 3-0 or 4-0. Ireland do much better when sides attack them, and as I said, Hungary might be better suited here playing a very cagey game. When the sides drew 2-2 earlier in the Group, Ireland benefited from Hungary having a man sent off but they were the better side. On balance, I do feel the 1.9 is a little short on Hungary here; especially considering they only need a draw. From a value point of view, I’m happy with a lay here in what is a fascinating game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Hungary to beat Republic of Ireland at 1.9 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ALBANIA V ENGLAND

5pm We move over to Group K to finish Sunday evening as England travel to take on Albania. This Group has been plain sailing for England with seven wins from seven games, but as we said at the start of qualifying – much tougher tests lie ahead for Thomas Tuchel. The biggest shock in this Group has been Serbia not finishing second – you wouldn’t have found many football fans when we started that it wasn’t going to be England first, Serbia second. Albania have come in and spoiled the party though, and thankfully for them – they now face England with second place already in the bag. Serbia can’t catch them four points behind – this game will be more of a celebration than anything else in the stadium! They have made some very decent progress in the last few years; reaching a World Cup would top everything they’ve done though – obviously they have to go through the Playoffs but they have some massive games ahead to enjoy. From an England point of view, this International Break was essentially meaningless with top spot already in the bag. The only interesting thing was what XI Tuchel would opt for with a view to the future.

Despite all the progress from Albania and the fact they’ve been second best in this Group, there’s still a massive gulf in class between the sides. Most football fans will be looking at this game from a point of view of how many goals can England score rather than will they actually win. It’s no surprise that England come into the game as the odds on favourites – England are trading 1.42 with Albania 8.6 and the draw is 5.2 at the time of writing. England recorded a smooth 2-0 win when the sides met back in March, and they bossed that game too. Albania only managed an xG of 0.27! England have yet to actually concede a goal in qualifying which is remarkable – their average xG conceded is only 0.38! A clean sheet is very much worth going for here for the squad, and Both Teams Not To Score is trading 1.83 – I’m happy to take that!

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
