EUROPA LEAGUE THURSDAY: The Ultra previews Thursday’s Europa League matches between OMONIA NICOSIA v MANCHESTER UNITED and ARSENAL v BODA/GLIMT both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

OMONIA NICOSIA V MANCHESTER UNITED

5.45pm The European action rumbles on this week, and we’re onto the Europa League on Thursday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! Manchester United and Arsenal both are massive derbies at the weekend in the Premier League, and they hit the headlines for opposite reasons too. Arsenal recorded a huge win in the North London Derby, while Manchester United recorded an embarrassing defeat in the Manchester Derby. United found themselves 4-0 down by half-time against Man City, and although that wasn’t the first time that score line happened this season, it’s still embarrassing. Although they had two very different weekends, they come into Thursday evening as the two massive favourites of the night. On paper at least, we should have a Premier League double! We start early with United trading 1.23 to beat the very average Omonia Nicosia, and to be honest it’s hard to disagree with the market. There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides, and Omonia haven’t shown any positive signs this season. They were beaten by Sheriff Tiraspol 3-0 with home advantage in their first Group game, and now sit bottom of the table.

United have work to do in this Group after losing their opening game to Real Sociedad. Given the other two sides in the Group look very weak, it’s hard to see Sociedad dropping points anyway and United had home advantage when they lost too so they have it all to do. Despite all the drama at the weekend over getting hammered by Manchester City, the drop down in class here is so big United should have no trouble winning. I feel this is a case of how many goals can United score rather than will they win. In that sense it will be very interesting to see what kind of XI ten Hag names – will it include Ronaldo and Maguire who haven’t been starting in the Premier League? I think we’ll see some movement on the team news here. It’s very early days in Cyprus for Omonia this season, so I’m not going to judge them being in fourth at the moment – they’ve only played five games and are within three points of league leaders. That being said, United should play a second XI here and still win. I was surprised to see Over 2.5 goals trading as big as 1.59 here – the likes of Ronaldo won’t slow down here if United get the lead as he pushes to make headlines given he’s not starting. Given United have made plenty of mistakes at the back too recently, Omonia could score at some stage but I’d expect to see Overs land here.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.59 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ARSENAL V BODA/GLIMT

8pm We move to Group A to finish the evening as Arsenal host Boda/Glimt from Norway. Much like the Manchester United game above, there’s an obvious big gulf in class between the sides here. Arsenal are currently red-hot favourites trading 1.23 and they should get the job done here. Indeed, I couldn’t put anyone off the Manchester United and Arsenal double here. As I said above, Arsenal took the headlines in the Premier League at the weekend for the right reasons with a win in the North London Derby. It’s hard to call them title contenders given how strong Manchester City look this season, but at the moment they can live the dream because they sit top of the table. I feel the win over Spurs will be a huge confidence boost too because they were bullied at Old Trafford earlier in the season. The jury was definitely out heading into the weekend on Arsenal, and we’d see a lot of comments like “same old Arsenal” if they lost. Arsenal should really top this Group, but Boda/Glimt actually top the Group at the moment. That’s basically due to the fact that Arsenal couldn’t play their second fixture because of the Queen’s death and policing issues, but they should jump to top spot with a win here. Boda/Glimt are sitting second in Norway, a whopping 15 points behind the leaders too – with just six games left in the season, it looks like Boda/Glimt won’t be getting their third title in a row.

Although I’m not going to recommended Arsenal at 1.23 because no one gets prizes for tipping at short odds like that, but I can only see one way traffic here. Even if Arsenal opt to play a second XI because we have a very busy schedule coming up, they are very comfortable at home and they have had a lot of success with their fringe players in this competition over the last few years – at the moment it looks like this will be their last season in the Europa League given they should finish top four in the Premier League! This one is about how many goals Arsenal can score, and I like the look of the -2 Asian Handicap here. It gives us a little bit of protection as it’s stakes void if Arsenal win by exactly two goals, but Arsenal have been creating so many chances this season they should be able to easily cover the handicap and the 1.91 is a very appealing bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Arsenal -2 goals Asian Handicap to beat Boda/Glimt at 1.91 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
