THURSDAY EUROPA LEAGUE: The Ultra previews MANCHESTER UNITED v BODO/GLIMT and TOTTENHAM v ROMA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER UNITED V BODO/GLIMT
8pm The Europa League returns with a bang on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Manchester United and Spurs are both back in action on Thursday night, and we should have another fascinating evening. Obviously the Spurs v Roma game is the highest quality game, but all eyes will also be on Old Trafford as Ruben Amorim searches for his first win as United boss. Even though a lot of excuses were dealt after their 1-1 draw with Ipswich about players getting used to a new system, it was still bitterly disappointing for United not to win that game. Ipswich have looked pretty average so far in the Premier League – they have the worst attacking figure and they are in the bottom five defensively too. Obviously there is a huge amount of work to do for Ruben Amorim, but for the time being the jury has to be out on whether or not there is the talent in the Unites squad to actually carried out his planned system. We might see more positive signs here, but there’s a massive gulf in class between the sides and anything bar a comfortable United win will be a big surprise.
United come into the game as the red-hot favourites; they are trading as short as 1.25 at the time of writing with Bodo/Glimt 13.5 and the draw is 6.9. Even though everyone is expecting a United win here, it’s worth mentioning that Bodo/Glimt actually come into the game sitting ahead of United in the Europa League table! That just highlights how poor United have been in this competition; especially failing to beat Twente here. On paper, they have a relatively easy run-in and should still qualify. I have to say though, you wouldn’t exactly be rushing to include United in any mid-week Acca at 1.25 given all the changes there at the moment. I’m definitely keen to keep stakes small here – Ruben Amorim looks like an exceptional coach but this United squad has been unreliable for too many years now. I want to see them carry out his system before actually having a strong opinion on them. Bodo/Glimt have had Over 2.5 goals land in three of their four Europa League games, and the Overs looks the best position at 1.45.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 1.45 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

TOTTENHAM V ROMA
8pm We finish Thursday night with undoubtedly the highlight of the night as Spurs host Roma. Spurs had a setback in this competition last time out when losing 3-2 away to Galatasaray, but this must come into this fixture absolutely buzzing after a 4-0 hammering of Manchester City at the weekend, away from home too! I’m not really sure how to describe Spurs this season; they lose from 2-0 up against Brighton, then beat West Ham 4-1, then lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace, then beat Aston Villa 4-1 but then follow that up with a 2-1 loss at home to Ipswich, then hammer Manchester City. I mean if you said you knew what was coming each week you’d surely be a liar? Ange Postecoglou must be tearing his hair out at times watching his side from the side line, but he does have them playing some excellent football at times. The reality with Spurs is that something “Spursy” is never far away! Spurs have an average xG created of 1.86 this season though, and that’s the second best attacking figure in the Premier League – only Manchester City are creating more chances. They also have the second best defensive figure with an average xG conceded of only 1.10. Very impressive numbers.
Roma haven’t been as impressive in Serie A, and they’ve already been through a change in manager too. Claudio Ranieri has now come out of retirement to take over, and Roma slipped further down the table with another loss at the weekend. They’ve conceded three goals either side of the International break – that leaves them down in 12th in Serie A at the moment. Spurs come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.79 with Roma 4.5 and the draw is 4.3 at the time of writing. The Roma performance figures are better than their current results, but they have problems all over the place. They aren’t converting their chances and they’ve been sloppy at the back. I’m not going to go crazy with the stakes here, but Spurs have been playing much better football than Roma, and they are worth backing at 1.79 here with home advantage.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Tottenham to beat Roma at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
