PLZEN V MANCHESTER UNITED

5.45pm The Europa League continues on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with Manchester United and Spurs both back in action. Both sides have been the source of many jokes in the Premier League this season, and they both arrive into their fixtures on Thursday night off the back of losses at the weekend while conceding far too many goals. We kick off the evening with Manchester United away to Plzen, and although there’s a big gulf in class between the sides here it is a brave punter that backs Manchester United at odds on these days! Manchester United are 1.65 with Plzen 5.8 and the draw is 4.4 at the time of writing. As always, it’s been an interesting week at Old Trafford – the sacking of Sporting Director Dan Ashworth just five months after he was hired almost overshadowed the loss at the weekend to Nottingham Forest. It’s fair to say that the Ruben Amorim era hasn’t got off to a good start – Nottingham Forest have been playing some good football this season but United conceding three goals at Old Trafford is still unacceptable. I have to say, it’s a fascinating situation at Old Trafford.

Once again we have seemingly an excellent manager on paper with an excellent record, but the squad is definitely lacking and obviously we all know about the issues behind the scenes at Old Trafford too. As things stand, they are sitting in 12th in the Europa League – they actually have the same about of points as Plzen just behind them! They could easily still get a top eight spot, but it is disappointing that United are even in this position. It’s hard to have much faith in the squad at the moment – I respect the fact that the manager has a good system and good ideas about how football should be played, but I’m not sure these United players are fulfil his wishes. United at 1.65 looks a good value lay to me – they are conceding so many goals at the moment and the 4-0 win over Everton recently definitely flattered them too – even Ruben Amorim said as much after the game. There is a big gulf in class, but Untied have been struggling against everyone this season, I’m happy with a small lay.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Manchester United to beat Plzen at 1.65 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RANGERS V TOTTENHAM

8pm Next we have what I feel is the highlight of the Europa League matchday as Rangers host Spurs. This is a massive game for both sides with Rangers sitting just inside that top eight and Spurs right behind them in ninth. Ibrox will be absolutely rocking; the home fans love meeting a Premier League side even without how big of a game this is! Rangers have been miles off the pace in Scotland this season – they are already eleven points behind Celtic and aren’t even sitting in second; although Aberdeen have played a game more than them. With home advantage here though they will be tough to beat – as much as Rangers are off the pace in Scotland, Spurs have been sitting in mid-table in the Premier League. Another very disappointing loss at the weekend after Chelsea must have Ange Postecoglou tearing his hair out again! Spurs took an early 2-0 lead, but once again it didn’t take long for things to go wrong and then ended up losing 4-3. As Antonio Conte once put it “this is the way of the Tottenham!” Say what you want about Spurs, it’s always entertaining at least.

Spurs come into the game as the favourites at 2.07 with Rangers 3.6 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. I have to say, there’s going to be a lot of debate on this Spurs prices on either side of the book. On the lay side, you have the fact that Spurs just aren’t getting the job done in games – they have been sloppy at the back and they are just throwing away games and points so often. On the back side, you have their high performance levels – they are creating a huge volume of chances; only Manchester City have a better xG created in the Premier League this season and their average xG conceded is an impressive figure too. They’ve just been so sloppy at the back, it’s hard to trust them. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here because Over 2.5 goals looks good value at 1.58. I was surprised to see that trading so high – Spurs are just so open at the moment, it’s hard not to see goals here!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.58 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
