THURSDAY EUROPA LEAGUE: The Ultra previews FCSB v MANCHESTER UNITED and TOTTENHAM v ELFSBORG both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
FCSB V MANCHESTER UNITED
8pm It’s the final matchday of the Europa League Group stage on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Once again we have a hectic night ahead with all 18 matches kicking off at the same time. Manchester United and Spurs are back in action – they have been two of the most drama filled clubs this season around Europe but they are both in a good position coming into the final matchday. We start the evening with FCSB hosting Manchester United; this is a big game for both sides as they both sit in the top eight – FCSB are under more pressure as they sit in eighth spot, and as we know the top eight in the golden ticket into the Last 16 without the need for a playoff. Manchester United come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.65 with FCSB 5.8 and the draw is 4.4 at the time of writing. Obviously United have had a lot of issues this season, a new manager and then all this drama with Marcus Rashford – my own opinion is that the squad is lacking the talent to deliver the system that Ruben Amorim wants. I do believe he is the right man for the job however; you’d hope that the United fans will allow him the time he needs.
While United have really struggled this season, they have won their last four Europa League games after starting with three draws. They have faced pretty weak opposition, but such is the way with the Europa League. FCSB are currently second in Romania, but they are level on points with the top sides – their performance levels have been quite poor in the Europa League to be honest. They were beaten 4-0 by Rangers; they are actually conceding more than they are creating. At home they have very similar attacking and defensive figures, and they look pretty average – on the bare figures they are very lucky to be sitting in the top eight. I know United have had a lot of issues this season, but judging on the gulf in class here it’s hard to get away from the 1.65. I’m keen to keep stakes small given the volume of goals United have conceded this season – from that point of view it was positive to see them keep a clean sheet at the weekend away to Fulham. This is a game that is there for the taking for United in my opinion – the obvious issue is can you trust them to turn up, as has always been the question with United. I feel one point is the right stake here.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Manchester United to beat FCSB at 1.65 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

TOTTENHAM V ELFSBORG
8pm Next we have Spurs hosting Elfsborg. On paper, this is definitely a game that Spurs should be winning but Spurs have hardly been trustworthy recently. Ange Postecoglou is being fully tested with this current run; another loss at the weekend at home against Leicester had Premier League fans saying Spurs are in a relegation battle! There’s no chance of Spurs actually going down, but they are only eight points off the bottom three at the moment. It was classic Spurs too; in a winning position and then it’s turned on its head in a matter of minutes. Despite all the issues Spurs have at the moment, given the gulf in class it’s not a surprise to see Spurs as the red-hot favourites. Spurs are trading as short as 1.21 with Elfsborg 16.0 and the draw is 8.4 at the time of writing. Obviously Elfsborg have a massive task ahead of them here, but it is a massive game for them – they sit in 20th having produced some shock results this season. They’ve beaten Roma, and Nice – both times they had home advantage though. I know Elfsborg are very limited but you have to give them massive credit – they started their Europa League journey in July!
Elfsborg have a decent chance of getting to the playoffs – the sides below them don’t exactly have easy fixtures – indeed some of them have pretty tough fixtures! There’s also a chance that Spurs fall out of the top eight, which would be a disaster given the amount of negativity around the club at the moment. Elfsborg have created very little away from home in the Europa League, and overall they are conceding more than they are creating in the competition too. Spurs should easily get the job done here, but you’d hardly be rushing to back them at 1.21 given their current woes – you wouldn’t stick them in an Acca either! The Elfsborg xG created figure does worry me, but their games have been very open and given how many mistakes Spurs have been making at the back, I’m happy with a small position on Both Teams To Score at 2.08.
