THURSDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews SEVILLA v ESPANYOL and UDINESE v NAPOLI both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
SEVILLA V ESPANYOL
6.30pm The midweek action from Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange continues on Thursday with action from La Liga and Serie A! We start the evening in La Liga in a game that is going to have a big impact on the relegation battle as Sevilla host Espanyol. As we all know, Sevilla have been very disappointing this season and even sat in the bottom three for months. However, it’s Espanyol who are the side in trouble heading into the business end of the season. They started this midweek round of fixtures still sitting in the bottom three even after a massive win at the weekend against Getafe. That win just barely kept them in touch as they sat two points behind Almeria and Valencia. The recent wins for Almeria and Valencia haven’t helped Espanyol, but if they lost against Getafe it looked like their season was over. They will be hoping to follow up that win here but they bump into a Sevilla side playing well at the moment. Sevilla lost 2-0 to Girona on Monday night, but they were very unlucky as they created an xG figure of 2.81. That broke a run of four straight wins in all competitions, and I think it’s fair to say that they are playing their best football of the season at the moment – despite that not saying much given their season!
Espanyol haven’t been superb away from home, but they haven’t been the worst side in La Liga by far. They have 14 points from their 16 away games, which isn’t too bad for a side in the relegation zone. Their main issue has been their home form; only 17 points from 16 home games just isn’t going to cut it – only Elche have a worse record and they have been nailed to the bottom of the table on season. Espanyol put in a great performance beating Getafe, but you have to remember Getafe are in the relegation zone as well and Espanyol did concede an xG of 5.0 away to Villarreal prior to that! Sevilla are trading as the odds on favourites at 1.88, and although they should outclass Espanyol here I wouldn’t be rushing to back Sevilla at odds on this season. I know they have been a lot better recently, but we avoided them against Girona and it paid off. Espanyol have been creating some good chances lately, and their average xG created is higher than the sides around them. Both Teams To Score looks nice value here at 1.97.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.97 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

UDINESE V NAPOLI
7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish Thursday night as Udinese host Napoli. We could have a massive party here as Napoli draw in on confirming their title win. To be honest it’s absolutely certain they will win, it just hasn’t been mathematically confirmed yet after their draw with Salernitana. That was a real shame because they had home advantage and should have confirmed it at the weekend, but here we are. They were unlucky – they finished the game with an xG of 1.92 and Salernitana only managed an xG of 0.24. Napoli have been absolutely superb this season, but they have had a couple of setbacks recently. They dropped points against Verona in Serie A as well, and then crashed out of the Champions League against AC Milan. They were very unlucky there as they finished both legs with a higher xG figure than they conceded, but you have to take your chances in football. It’s crazy how the Napoli fans have been treating the players over the last few weeks, it’s been so long since they won the Serie A title though! The last time they won it Diego Maradona was here! This should be a tough evening for Napoli, although they have been absolutely superb away from home this season – that’s been the real difference as Napoli have recorded a whopping 43 points from 16 away games. Prior to the midweek round of fixtures, that was 12 points clear of the nearest challenger.
Udinese started the season very strongly. After losing their opening game to AC Milan they went on a nine game unbeaten run but since then they have gone backwards. They actually got revenge over AC Milan in March, but they have been dropping plenty of points recently. They play exactly in-line with their performance level – their stats are actually very rare around Europe! They create and concede an average xG of 1.3, and that is their actual goals scored and conceded too. Usually you see some difference somewhere, not with Udinese! Napoli come into the game as the odds on favourites, and I have to say the 1.83 looks a shade of value given their away record this season. They have been absolutely superb away from home, and Udinese are a side there for the taking to be honest. There’s probably less pressure on away from home to confirm the title too, I won’t go mad with stakes but the 1.83 is a nice position.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Napoli to beat Udinese at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
