REAL MADRID v MALLORCA

7pm The Spanish Super Cup continues on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as Real Madrid meet Mallorca in the second Semi-Final. As I said in my preview of Athletic Bilbao v Barcelona on Wednesday, that Semi-Final was definitely more open despite Barcelona still being odds on favourites – most football fans will be fully expecting Real Madrid to progress here. It’s not a surprise to see Real Madrid come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.42 with Mallorca 8.6 and the draw is 5.3 at the time of writing.

It’s been an excellent few days for Real Madrid – they won their game in hand over Barcelona in very dramatic fashion away to Valencia. I know Valencia have been quite poor this season – they are sitting in the relegation zone – however Real were a goal and a man down before getting the winner in the 96th minute after only equalising in the 85th minute. Talk about dramatic win – getting over the line in games like that is always a massive boost for morale in the dressing room too; not that they needed it. They now sit top of the La Liga table and with Barcelona struggling before Christmas, they are in a very strong position.

Mallorca will also been delighted with their season so far. They sit in sixth spot which is in the European spots at the moment – that would be a dream result to be fair. They finished down in 15th last season! Their xG figures are very interesting – their average xG created is quite poor at 1.19 and looking at that you would think they are over-performing to be sitting in sixth. That’s not the case as they are only averaging one goal per game. They are over-performing at the back however; their average xG conceded is 1.4 but their actual goals conceded average is only 1.11. You have to give Mallorca massive credit for getting as many results as they have managed, but you can definitely see them slipping down the table as the season goes on.

It would be a surprise if Real Madrid couldn’t get the job done here. I wouldn’t put anyone off including them in a midweek Acca at 1.42. It will be interesting to see how this game plays out – obviously Real Madrid have had a lot of drama in their games whereas it’s been the opposite for Mallorca. They’ve been keeping games as tight as possible. They also held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw at the start of the season. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.66 but I feel that’s a little short. I can see Mallorca being very negative here – I expect Real to have to grind out a win, and I’m happy with a small bet on Under 2.5 goals at 2.46.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 2.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
