SERIE A and COPA DEL REY: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Thursday’s games between PARMA V INTER MILAN and LEVANTE V ATHLETIC BILBAO with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
PARMA V INTER MILAN
7.45pm We have two interesting games on Thursday night in Europe and we start in Serie A with Inter Milan traveling to take on Parma. Inter have been in exceptional form recently and after the round of fixtures at the weekend they sat four points clear at the top of the table. AC Milan have fallen way off the pace recently, and we landed a nice bet on Inter Milan to beat them recently. It seems now Juventus are the only side that have the form and class to catch them at the top of the table but Inter are so far clear they look like they have the title in the bag. That being said, they can’t afford to slip up against sides like Parma who sit down in 19th position. Parma are five points from safety but with Cagliari three points ahead of them in 18th it looks unlikely they can stay up. If Torino slip up, I think Cagliari will take advantage.
Inter have been in excellent goal scoring form recently, and I can see them covering the handicap here. Inter are trading 1.72 -1.5 goals on BETDAQ Betting Exchange and that looks like a very nice price looking at the result results of both sides. Parma have conceded two or more in all six of their recent games, while Inter come here having scored three goals in each of their last three games. Looking at the xG figures it’s obvious why Parma are in the relegation zone – they concede too many chances and with Inter in form they can only take advantage.

LEVANTE V ATHLETIC BILBAO
8pm We finish the evening with a massive game. Most casual football fans might look at this fixture and think “what is he on about, massive game?” It is for these two sides. They have a fantastic chance to get to the final of the Copa Del Rey and what an odd situation for Athletic Bilbao. Pencilled in for the 3rd of April, Athletic Bilbao will take on Real Sociedad in the final of the 2020 Copa Del Rey – imagine they get into back-to-back Finals having not played one! Another question for pub quizzes in years to come from 2020/2021. Athletic Bilbao actually won the first ever Copa Del Rey but it has been years since they won it and you don’t need me to tell you a side like Levante have never lifted the Cup.
So, a massive game for both sides. We had quite a cagey first leg that finished 1-1 and I would expect a reasonably similar game here. Both sides sit right beside each other in La Liga without much between them. Ironically too the sides met last weekend when they had another 1-1 draw! Perhaps just get on the 1-1 draw! Athletic Bilbao finished that game on top looking at the xG figures, but Levante have been on a pretty good run of results lately. I say results because their performances have justified the results looking at xG. I feel Bilbao will get the job done, but the market feels the same way and the 2.2 looks right. I like both teams to score at 1.88 as we have had two recent fixtures with some excellent football and an early goal will really open this game up.
