CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: The Ultra previews Tuesday’s Champions League action with LIVERPOOL v RANGERS, INTER MILAN v BARCELONA and EINTRACHT FRANKFURT v SPURS all with a recommended BETDAQ bet and don’t forget to check out FACTMAN on the matches too!

LIVERPOOL V RANGERS

8pm The Champions League returns on Tuesday, and we have a very interesting week of action on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. This is the stage of the tournament where teams play each other back-to-back home and away. For some sides it’s a great opportunity to put themselves in a great position with back-to-back wins against lower quality opposition, and for others it’s basically about trying to get into the Europa League. We have two classic examples of that in our opening game of the evening here as Liverpool are looking for six points after losing to Napoli earlier in the Group and with Rangers on zero points it’s was always going to be a challenge for them to finish anywhere bar last in this Group. It would be unfair to say that Rangers are unlucky, but this is a very difficult Group. That being said, you look through all the Groups and there aren’t many soft ones this season! Although Rangers come into this tie as massive underdogs, they will have the belief that they can get a result here given Liverpool’s start to the season. The market doesn’t give them much chance however; bar Bayern Munich at home against Pizen, Liverpool are trading the second shortest price of the night at 1.19.

I wouldn’t be rushing to include Liverpool in any Betdaq Multiple this evening given the way they have been playing this season, it’s very hard to see anything bar a Liverpool win here. The gulf in class between the sides is just too big, and Rangers have already been hammered by Ajax and Napoli losing 4-0 and 3-0. This fixture probably comes at a good time for Liverpool because they need a confidence boost – it’s all about how many goals they score here rather than will they win I feel, but it would still take a brave punter to lump on at 1.19 given the goals they have been conceding this season! Maybe Rangers can give Liverpool more problems next week in Scotland as Rangers tend to put in their best performances at home compared to away in Europe. Although Rangers haven’t offered much going forward in the Champions League this season, Liverpool have been a disaster at the back. The video of mistakes this season would be endless, and they appear to be giving away a clear goal opportunity at least every game at the moment. Obviously we have a very low price here for the home win, and a win is expected too, but I feel Rangers can score at some stage. Both Teams To Score at 2.06 is worth a small investment.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 2.06 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

INTER MILAN V BARCELONA

8pm Next we have the highlight fixture of the night as Inter Milan host Barcelona! This is a huge fixture when you look at Group C, and it’s highly likely these two fixtures between the sides over the next week will decide who goes through to the second round and who is going to the Europa League. Both sides have already lost to Bayern Munich, but it is Inter who are in a worst position because they have to play Bayern away while Barcelona will have home advantage when they meet them. Although Barcelona also lost 2-0 to Bayern, they actually played very well and were unlucky to lose. They created a host of chances, and really should have got something from the game. Barcelona have been exceptional this season when you look at their xG figures – however they threw in their most disappointing performance of the season at the weekend! They still won the game 1-0 away to Mallorca, but they only managed an xG of 0.67 which was very poor against a side who were in the relegation battle last season. They may have had one eye on this fixture though, and to be fair they still managed to grind out a win. Over all, especially in La Liga this season, you can’t knock their performances. Their xG going forward is over 3.0, and their conceded xG of under 1. As impressive as they have been, they should have actually scored more goals – at the moment their average is 2.7 per game but their xG is 3.1. This is a fantastic chance for them to notch up a win here and take control in the battle for second. A win here would be huge because it’s difficult to see Inter getting a result away from home next week.

While Barcelona have been impressive this season, it’s been a difficult story for Inter. They recorded another defeat at the weekend against Roma – that produced a hilarious video of Jose Mourinho outside the ground (he was banned) watching the game in a van and reacting to moments like us fans. It was superb viewing! However, that result basically leaves Inter sitting in mid-table; already eight points behind league leaders Napoli. As we know Inter usually finish the season strongly, and they usually start with a mid-season charge but they already have a lot of ground to make up. They weren’t able to make it up last season, and this season could be a struggle too. Barcelona are rightfully odds on favourites to win here, and although I won’t be going too crazy with my stakes, the 1.86 is still big enough to back. Although this is a massive glamour fixtures between two big leagues, there’s only one winner here for me when you look at the performances this season. Barcelona will create more chances, and thus win the game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Barcelona to beat Inter Milan at 1.86 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V TOTTENHAM

8pm We finish the evening in Group D as Eintracht Frankfurt host Spurs. This is a very similar situation to the above game between Inter Milan and Barcelona in the sense that both sides are sitting on three points with the leader of the Group on six. This Group is a little different though, because I’m sure not many football fans would have expected to see Sporting Lisbon to be sitting top at this stage! To the credit of Sporting Lisbon, they produced two fine performances against these two sides to win. Were they flattered by the results? Yes, but you can’t knock them. They went into those games as underdogs! Spurs would have been trading reasonably close to 2.0 while Eintracht Frankfurt wouldn’t have been that short, but they also would have been that far away either. For both sides, topping this Group isn’t out of the question. Not even in the slightest – they will both expect Sporting Lisbon to come back to the pack. A win here would likely see Spurs go close to favourites to top the Group which will give them a better draw in the next round, and to be honest they need a response after losing the North London Derby at the weekend.

Although a closer score line might have been a “fairer” reflection of the game, there was no doubt that Arsenal deserved to win the game. Not many football fans believe in this Arsenal squad, but to be fair that was their first major win of the season after getting bullied at Old Trafford. For Spurs they will need to pick themselves up, and in general under Conte they have been rock solid this season. The performance away to Sporting Lisbon does worry me here though, and then their performances away in the Premier League recently haven’t been that impressive. At the moment I would say that they look far more comfortable at home. In their last three in all competitions, they haven’t managed a win – the 1-1 draw away to Fulham wasn’t a fantastic performance either – they actually conceded a higher xG figure than they created. I expected to see an open market here because Eintracht Frankfurt have got off to a very positive start in the Bundesliga this season, and I was surprised to see Spurs trading as short as 2.16. I feel that lay jumps off the page here, and it’s a confident bet – I fully expect to see a closer game than those odds suggest.

The Ultra Says:
Four points lay (liability) Tottenham to beat Eintracht Frankfurt at 2.16 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
