CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Tuesday’s Champions League games between CHELSEA v FK KRASNODAR, BARCELONA v JUVENTUS and RB LEIPZIG v MANCHESTER UNITED all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
CHELSEA V FK KRASNODAR
8pm The Champions League fixtures just keep on coming and we have another excellent night ahead! It’s the final games in the Group stages and we’re bound to see some sort of drama over the next two nights. Chelsea are certain to finish top in Group E and Frank Lampard might decide to rest some of his stars with the hectic schedule. Krasnodar were brushed aside by Chelsea with a 4-0 loss when they had home advantage, but now they need something from this tie to go into the Europa League. They can still finish there as they beat Rennes last week but they don’t want to be relying on Rennes to lose either.
Chelsea have been excellent this season though and should easily win. Of course we can expect some changes, but Krasnodar looked many levels below them when the sides met in the Group so it’s hard to see anything bar a Chelsea win here. The markets agree, with Chelsea trading 1.33 at the time of writing on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. Given the situation, I feel this is a game for low stakes – unless you want to include Chelsea in a BETDAQ Multiple. I think Krasnodar will come to defend and with Chelsea not needing to win, under 2.5 goals is worth a small investment at 2.54.

BARCELONA V JUVENTUS
8pm Undoubtedly the highlight of the night quality wise as two European giants meet! We were robbed of Ronaldo v Messi when the sides last met as Ronaldo came down with Coronavirus. Barcelona came out of top that night and now look highly likely to top Group G. They have a perfect five from five in this Group but you have to admit the other two sides in the Group have been very poor. Barcelona haven’t been themselves this season and are already miles off the pace in La Liga. They lost again at the weekend to Cadiz, and now they find themselves in 9th a whopping 12 points behind the league leaders Atletico Madrid.
Juventus have been playing pretty much like themselves. They are six points behind AC Milan in Serie A but xG showed they shouldn’t have been as clear at the top as they were last season. Indeed with a slow finish the others caught up. I think we’ll have a very good game here and I have to lay this Barcelona price at 2.18. Those odds are just too short for a side out of sorts like Barcelona have been this season. However Messi will always want to get one up on Ronaldo so he might bring his A-game tonight. We all know the dressing room situation there, so perhaps it’s a game for small stakes, but it’s a Barcelona lay for me.

RB LEIPZIG V MANCHESTER UNITED
8pm Barcelona v Juventus might be the most high quality fixture of the night, but this one is my highlight. The situation in Group H couldn’t be any better. Man United, PSG and RB Leipzig are all locked together on nine points each. The loser here will likely have to settle for a Europa League spot. How United will be kicking themselves that they lost against Istanbul after beating PSG and RB Leipzig. They had the Group at their mercy and now might not even qualify. A night full of drama awaits. United have put in some decent performances away from home lately. They have found themselves in trouble but bounced back in the second half. They will need to be in top form tonight.
RB Leipzig like to play an open game, but they are a very good side. They had a good run in the Champions League last season and they managed to draw with Bayern Munich at the weekend. I laid Bayern that day because they look in excellent form and I would be tempted to back them again at 2.5 tonight. I can’t get away from over 2.5 goals however for my best bet. This fixture just screams goals – United have been scoring as well has having problems at the back. The type of game RB Leipzig like to play should favour goals here too and overs jumps off the page. I wouldn’t put anyone off a Leipzig back as well.
