SPAIN V CYPRUS

7.45pm We have the final day of the International Break on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE on Tuesday. I’m sure most football fans will be happy to get back to the domestic action, but we have two must win games for Spain and Italy tonight. We start the evening in Group A as Spain host Cyprus, and Spain shouldn’t have any problems winning here. Indeed, they are trading the joint-shortest price of any side tonight; currently just 1.03 to win! The other side trading that price tonight is Switzerland at home to Andorra. Spain are on the backfoot a little in this Group after losing to Scotland, and of course they have played less games because of the Nations League Finals too. They can still top the Group, but Scotland have put together five wins from five games and are showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Spain just have to keep winning and then beat Scotland to finish level on points, and possibly top the Group. Let’s not forget about Erling Haaland’s Norway too – they have been disappointing thus far with only four points from four games.

This is going to be a case of how many goals can Spain score rather than will they win. There’s such a gulf in class between the sides, it’s almost impossible to see past a win for Spain and the market is correct having them so short. Both sides played on Friday night with Spain hammering Georgia 7-1 and Cyprus losing 3-0 at home to Scotland. This could be a cricket score to be honest! Cyprus did only concede three times away to Norway, but Norway haven’t been playing their best football this qualifying tournament in fairness. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading around 1.2. I feel there’s value in Over 3.5 goals at 1.54 however – Spain will get a host of chances here and if they can score early, which shouldn’t be a problem really, then I don’t see Cyprus sitting back just to keep the score line respectable I think they’ll chase getting on the score sheet which should open the game up for goals.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 3.5 goals at 1.54 BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ITALY V UKRAINE

7.45pm Next we move to Group C for a massive game as Italy host Ukraine. Because of the Nations League result, Italy already have a playoff spot but we all know how they went for them at the World Cup so they’ll have to break into the top two here. They are three points behind Ukraine with a game in hand, so they’ll be in a nice position if they can win here. Ukraine managed to grind out a 1-1 draw against England on Saturday. Garth Southgate was heavily criticised on Social Media, but to be honest it was a game England should have won – they had a huge amount of the ball and should have scored more than once. Perhaps Southgates tactical decisions in the second half could have been better though. While that was a good result for Ukraine, Italy had a disappointing result against North Macedonia. They were held to a 1-1 draw away from home, and now that result makes this game very important for Italy. I know they also have a game in hand, but this is a game that they have to win. Anything bar a top two finish in this Group would be a huge disappointment.

They come into the game as the odds on favourites, currently trading 1.53 at the time of writing with Ukraine 8.2 and the draw is 4.4. Italy haven’t been at the best since winning Euro 2020, and I wouldn’t be rushing to back them at 1.53. Ukraine are a limited side and they might not offer much going forward so I don’t want to be against Italy either. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here, and I like Under 2.5 goals at 1.86. Italy could only score twice against Malta, and then obviously the 1-1 against North Macedonia was very disappointing too. I know they have home advantage here which is an added boost, but Ukraine are very solid at the back. They were under pressure against England but managed to hold firm, and they can do a similar job here. Unders looks a nice play.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.86 BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
