TUESDAY LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Tuesday’s games between GIRONA v REAL MADRID and REAL BETIS v REAL SOCIEDAD both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

GIRONA V REAL MADRID

6.30pm We have plenty of midweek action around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week as domestic leagues take a chance to catch up on some fixtures while there’s no Champions League or Europa League. We start Tuesday in La Liga with two interesting markets – we have two favourites away from home, but there are plenty of questions to answer for both. We start the evening with Girona hosting the Champions Real Madrid. Unfortunately for Real, they won’t be called La Liga Champions for much longer as Barcelona have an 11 point advantage and their heading towards reclaiming the title this season. Real Madrid have a Champions League Semi-Final against Manchester City that is going to take all of their focus in the coming weeks – let’s face the La Liga title race is done – and they also have a Copa del Rey Final to look forward to. As I said at the weekend, you’ll likely see some changes to the Real starting XI because nobody is playing with a knock or anything like that – they will also play a very open game and look to entertain. They only scored ten goals in their last five games in all competitions, but their xG figures have been much higher.

I would expect Real to attack again here, and they will have very open tactics as well. I just can’t see them sitting back for the rest of the season. Their last five xG figures have been 2.0, 2.28, 5.14, 2.68 and 2.65. They should have scored more goals, but all their games were very entertaining. Girona will have their hands full trying to stop Real – they have been very entertaining to watch this season too. They are creating marginally more chances than they have been conceding this season, and I’m sure they are delighted to be away from the relegation fight after coming up from the Segunda last season where they finished sixth and came through the playoffs. Their average xG created is 1.6 and their average conceded is 1.5. Real Madrid will be a popular bet at 1.65, but I’m happy to avoid them again here – Over 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.73 which is eight ticks higher. Girona haven’t sat back all season, and their under-lining numbers say they are up for an open game. Real will take the entertaining approach, and we should have a great game to watch here.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL BETIS V REAL SOCIEDAD

9pm Next we have a huge game in La Liga as Real Betis host Real Sociedad. At things stand, Real Sociedad are taking up that fourth spot after Sevilla have been so poor this season while Real Betis are six points behind them in fifth. After Sevilla had their terrible start, Real Betis would have been the favourites to take that final Champions League spot after being so strong last season in fifth and then winning the Copa del Rey too. They have been poor though – they also got blown away in the Europa League by Manchester United, and then Sevilla knocked them out. Real Sociedad have finished their seasons very poorly for the last few years, and they have lost two of their last four games coming into this tie as well. The problem for Real Betis is they have been dropping even more points – they have lost three of their last four games. They can say that they were a little unlucky to lose away to Osasuna at the weekend, but the reality is they conceded three goals and they have just conceded far too many sloppy goals this season. Their average xG conceded is 1.5 this season – they are only creating marginally more chances because their average xG created is 1.6, so you can see why they have had problems. Real Sociedad have been much more solid, their under-lining numbers are impressive – their average xG created is 1.7 and they are conceding an average of 1.1.

It won’t be a surprise to anyone that we have a very open market here. Real Sociedad come into the game as the favourites – they are trading 2.46 at the time of writing with Real Betis 3.3 and the draw is 3.35. I wouldn’t say being at home or away from home is a positive or a negative here – the reality is Betis have been pretty solid at home, and Sociedad have been pretty solid away from home – they are in the top four on the away form table. The big difference here is that Sociedad have been playing much better football this season, and they have been way more solid at the back too. Betis have just been giving away too many chances, and that could be the difference here. There’s no getting away from the fact that this is a must win game for Betis if they are to have any chance at a top four finish, and I would expect a pretty cagey start. Under 2.5 is trading 1.69 and I couldn’t put anyone off that, however the 2.46 on Real Sociedad is worth a bet here. They can outclass this Real Betis side.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Real Sociedad to beat Real Betis at 2.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
