TUESDAY SERIE A: The Ultra previews SALERNITANA v JUVENTUS with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
SALERNITANA V JUVENTUS
7.45pm The action keeps coming from Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! Serie A is the focus on Tuesday as Salernitana host Juventus. Unfortunately for Juventus, this is more of a mid-to-bottom of the table clash after Juventus were deducted 15 points with an investigation into the transfer dealings. That was obviously a huge blow, and extremely difficult to come from back. It feels like morale is low too because they lost afterwards to Monza.
They won on Thursday night in the Coppa Italia over Lazio, but their situation in Serie A is dire. You can forget about the title, but Napoli were running away with that away, they looked set on a top four finish which brings more money, Champions League football and of course attracts bigger players to the club – it looks like next season will be a big challenge without Champions League football. We might even see players want to leave for Champions League football too.
Salernitana have their own issues too. They are sitting towards the bottom of the table, but they do have a good cushion on the bottom three. After beating Lecce 2-1, they started this round of fixtures eight points off the bottom three despite sitting in 16th. The bottom three in Serie A look nailed on to be honest, so Salernitana don’t have too much to worry about once they don’t go on a crazy bad run.
Juventus come into this game as the odds on favourites, they are currently trading 1.59 at the time of writing but I wouldn’t be rushing to back them as short as that. I know Juventus broke their poor run with a win over Lazio last Thursday, but it’s a very difficult time for the club at the moment and I feel we can find better value in the side markets. Salernitana have been conceding an average xG of 2.0 per game this season in Serie A which is very high but Juventus have been conceding a lot of sloppy goals lately too. I wouldn’t say that they’ve been giving away a host of chances, but it’s the sloppy goals that makes me want to back Both Teams To Score at 1.98 here. I feel we’ll see a pretty open game with plenty of chances at both ends.
The Ultra Says:
