WALES V TURKEY

7.45pm It’s the final day of Euro 2024 Qualifying on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, and we have a massive game for Wales as they host Turkey on Tuesday. Group D has been a rollercoaster for Wales so far, they keep doing a lot of hard work and then throwing it away. After beating Croatia in the last International break, they have put themselves on the backfoot again with a draw on Saturday against Armenia. They did similar at the start of the Group; they got a draw away to Croatia and then lost at home to Armenia.

That loss at home to Armenia has proven to be a huge blow for them. They started that game as the massive odds on favourites, but Armenia have definitely proven to be their bogey side. After the 1-1 draw, they have fallen out of the top two heading into this tie, and they are in a pretty poor position now. Turkey are definitely though, and then either Croatia or Wales will take up that second spot. Croatia have a two point advantage heading into the final game, and they play at home against Armenia – they are pretty certain to win that game. At the time of writing, Croatia are trading as short as 1.18. Wales would have been a few ticks bigger, but they wouldn’t have been massively bigger which shows what a poor result at home that was for Wales.

The positive for Wales here however is that they are certain of a playoff spot. It’s a nice position to be in considering how short Croatia are to win, but it must be a bitter feeling knowing they could be through to the tournament as well. The playoffs are always very competitive. Another positive here in terms of winning the game is that Turkey don’t have anything to play for as they are already through, however they are generally always competitive – it’s just their nature! We might see some fresh faces and changes though; it’s a nice opportunity for the manager to try out players in an intense away game.

Wales come into the game as the favourites – they are trading 2.3 at the time of writing with Turkey 3.35 and the draw is 3.65. I definitely feel that the 2.3 is a little short on Wales, but they will be in a better mindset coming into this game with the view of needing a win. Turkey will play for pride, but you definitely feel in International games where the sides don’t have to win they lose a little edge. Isn’t that why they brought in the Nations League after all; to get rid of boring low tempo friendlies. I feel Wales are short, but I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market. Wales have really struggled to score goals and create chances in this Group; as we saw last week too. Under 2.5 goals is a very appealing bet at 1.96 – I know Turkey have been in the goals during qualifying, so I’ll keep stakes limited but I’d have Unders a couple of ticks shorter.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.96 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
