SCOTLAND V DENMARK

7.45pm The 2026 World Cup Qualifiers come to a close on Tuesday night. We have two massive games for the Home Nations with Scotland and Wales hosting huge games – both 0% Commission on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We kick off the action in Group C as Scotland host Denmark. Despite losing away to Greece on Saturday night, it actually turned out to be a very positive night for Scotland’s hopes of reaching the World Cup. In one of the shocks of the weekend, Denmark failed to beat Belarus – they drew 2-2 with home advantage. Denmark started that game trading as low as 1.04 to win – that result has to be a contender for the biggest upset in football this season – betting odds wise anyway! Denmark could have had top spot in the bag, but they only bring a one point advantage to Scotland now and from a Scotland point of view that is superb. As I said in my preview on Saturday, with Denmark fully expected to beat Belarus – all Scotland would have wanted in Greece was a draw to keep this tie alive. It didn’t work out that way results wise, but we’re got the scenario Scotland wanted. Hampden Park will be absolutely rocking.

All the pressure is on Denmark here, and with a Playoff spot already in the bag, Scotland can have a proper go – everyone would have been expecting Denmark to top this Group easily at the start of qualifying! Despite the shock on Saturday, it’s not a surprise to see Denmark come into the game as the favourites – Denmark are trading 2.2 with Scotland 3.85 and the draw is 3.35 at the time of writing. Obviously a massive factor here is the fact that a draw puts Denmark through to the World Cup, and given they are away from home it’s hard to see them going all out for a win here. They aren’t risking anything chasing the game towards the end for example. It’s up to Scotland to make the running here, and to be honest they tend to play their best football with their backs against the wall. Scotland started qualifying with a superb 0-0 draw away to Denmark, and in general they have made tonnes of improvement lately. On balance, I feel given the situation the 2.2 is too short on Denmark, especially with a draw being a good result for them, and I’m happy with a Denmark lay from a value point of view. I expect the game to be closer than those odds suggest.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Denmark to beat Scotland at 2.2 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

WALES V NORTH MACEDONIA

7.45pm We move over to Group J to finish Tuesday night as Wales host North Macedonia. Before the Nations League days, this would be a huge clash with a place in the Playoffs on the line. Fortunately for both sides, they both come into this game assured of a Playoff spot given their Nations League ranking. Wales topped a B Group and North Macedonia topped a C Group. Wales are at that awkward level in the Nations League where they get relegated from Group A and then top the B Group – we’ve seen that rotation with Scotland recently too. Nevertheless, while good for both sides – the rankings have robbed us a lot of drama here. Belgium top the Group and they would have been fully expected to take that position anyway – they only have a two point advantage coming into the final matchday but they do play Liechtenstein away from home while these play which is pretty much a certain win. Then we have North Macedonia and Wales both on 13 points, with North Macedonia currently in second on goal difference. We actually had a tonne of drama between these two earlier in the Group – no goals until injury time and then North Macedonia scored in the 921st minute only for Wales to equalise in the 96th!

Now with home advantage, Wales will be expected to win here but North Macedonia are no mugs. We all remember them knocking Italy out of the World Cup at the Playoff stage last time, and they did top their Nations League Group as I said above. Despite that, Wales come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.72 with North Macedonia 6.0 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. You could effectively call this a meaningless game given both are through, but finishing second is important. I’d expect an intense game. Wales were made to work harder than expected to beat Liechtenstein on Saturday; only a 1-0 win, but they created a tonne of chances and had a high xG figure. They were much the better side when the sides met early in the Group – 68% possession and a higher xG figure. Wales are always a much better side at home, and I’m happy with a small bet at 1.72.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Wales to beat North Macedonia at 1.72 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
