BUNDESLIGA/LA LIGA WEDNESDAY: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews DORTMUND V UNION BERLIN and CADIZ V REAL MADRID both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
DORTMUND V UNION BERLIN
7.30pm We might not have Champions League this week but we have another very busy evening across Europe! We start in the Bundesliga with Dortmund hosting Union Berlin. Dortmund would have picked up a lot of respect earlier in the week for coming out strongly against the European Super League. After Bayern Munich came out against it, they could have possibly jumped in as the “major” German side, but credit where credit is due – they could have easily slipped in and titled themselves as the major German side given England have Arsenal and Spurs in it! European Super League drama aside, Dortmund have a job to do here – the top four might be gone given the gap but they have a battle on their hands for the Europa League spot. If they miss out on that it would be a huge setback given they enjoyed a pretty good Champions League campaign this season.
Union Berlin are your average “rock-solid” mid-table Bundesliga side. They are having a pretty good season this year, and they have been very tough to beat. Even Bayern Munich couldn’t beat them with home advantage, not that home advantage counts for much these days with Covid19. Union’s success this season as come from their excellent attacking play, and they have been putting together some nice xG figures. Dortmund have obviously been below their best given that they aren’t in the top four and they have conceded a lot of chances this season. It’s for that reason I’m keen to be against Dortmund here at 1.56 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. For me those odds are much too short, and I fully expect Union to make the game a lot tougher than the odds reflect. The 1.56 is a great value lay. Dortmund might outclass them, but Union have been creating a lot and Dortmund will have to play very well to beat them.
The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Dortmund to beat Union Berlin at 1.56 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange

CADIZ V REAL MADRID
9pm Next we go to La Liga for a massive late kick off. Real Madrid have the chance to put the pressure back on Atletico Madrid and Barcelona at the top of La Liga as both of those sides are in action tomorrow. To be honest though, Real Madrid really let themselves down with a 0-0 draw against Getafe at the weekend and now they gap is back to three points. They had done so much hard work winning El Clasico, and then throw away all that pressure with a slip up against Getafe. They were very poor too, as they game finished 2.35 to 0.66 on xG to Getafe, so they were even lucky to draw the game. They haven’t recorded an xG figure as low as that for a while, and perhaps it was a “come down” after the Champions League game against Liverpool.
It was still a very disappointing performance, I noted in my preview of that game that Real could easily struggle in the smaller game after a string of massive games, but I didn’t expect them to drop points. They now have a reasonably tricky fixture against Cadiz but usually grind out results. Cadiz were actually able to beat Real 1-0 earlier in the season, but Real were playing poorly at the time and they have improved a lot since. Cadiz are a pretty limited side, but they do keep games very tight and Real look a little short here at 1.47. I couldn’t put anyone off the Real lay, but under 2.5 goals looks the value here at 1.96. Cadiz will keep the game very tight, and while Real could grind out a win, it’s hard to see them scoring a lot against this solid Cadiz side. The market has it a pick’em, but I would have unders clear favourite.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.96 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange
