WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews the quarter final second legs between BAYERN MUNICH v MANCHESTER CITY and INTER MILAN v BENFICA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BAYERN MUNICH V MANCHESTER CITY
8pm We finish the Champions League Quarter-Finals on Wednesday with two very interesting markets on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. Bayern Munich v Manchester City is no doubt the glamorous fixture of the night, but with City having a three goal advantage more football fans might tune into Inter Milan v Benfica, however Inter have a two goal advantage in that game! The two favourites in the match odds market on Wednesday night don’t actually have to win, so it will be interesting to see what tactics they employ. We should have a very entertaining affair between Bayern and City to start the evening. It’s hard to see Bayern sitting back three goals down after the first leg – especially with home advantage. City will surely fight fire with fire too, and we could see plenty of goals! I don’t see any major upsets, City won’t give away a three goal lead but it would be nice, from a drama point of view, to see Bayern score the first goal within the opening 20 minutes. Bayern are really struggling this season though, and dropped points again at the weekend. Hoffenheim are close to the bottom of the Bundesliga, and then we also have the fight between Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane. The rumours are now Bayern want to get rid of Mane, which is surely an overreaction given his talent.
Manchester City bossed the first leg, and they come into this game as the favourites. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Bayern Munich 2.8, Manchester City 2.5 and the draw is 4.0. City could barely come into this game in better shape, and they must be buzzing after Arsenal dropped points in the Premier League title race at the weekend too. City have been scoring goals for fun – their last six games in all competitions have been 7-0, 6-0, 4-1, 4-1, 3-0 and 3-1. They definitely eased off after going 3-0 up against Leicester at the weekend, and they arrive into this fixture in top shape. It’s clear that Bayern haven’t been at their best this season, so the 2.5 on City is a very tempting bet. The other option is Over 2.5 goals at 1.59 which is also a very appealing bet. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I’m going to opt for Over 2.5 goals just because of the situation. Bayern have to attack, and that should open the game up – that being said, I don’t think you’d want to play an open game against City because they will punish you, but 1.59 is a nice price on Overs.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.59 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

INTER MILAN V BENFICA
8pm We finish the Quarter-Finals with Inter Milan hosting Benfica. Inter Milan are having a shocking run in Serie A at the moment, but they take a two goal lead into this tie after winning the first leg 2-0. Benfica fans will say they were unlucky because they finished the game with an xG of 2.17, but Inter did create more chances in a very open game. Hopefully this leg is just as entertaining, however you wouldn’t be surprised to see Inter want to park the bus given the two goal lead. Benfica have lost domestically either side of the first leg, they still have a four point lead at the top of Liga Portugal so they could afford to focus on this tie for the time being. Inter lost yet again in Serie A with a 1-0 loss here against Monza at the weekend – they would have started very short favourites to win too! I really don’t know what’s going on with Inter in Serie A at the moment, but it’s now been five games without a win and they are still out of the top four. I said AC Milan were “lucky” that Inter lost, but Inter were also “lucky” that AC Milan only drew at the weekend! Lazio and Roma are benefitting, and now it looks like only one club from Milan will be in the Champions League next season – unless of course Inter win it! Despite the terrible run on paper from Inter, once again their performance wasn’t bad at the weekend. They finished the game with an xG of over double what they conceded. They just haven’t been taking their chances lately, and they can say nearly every result was unlucky based on xG figures.
Inter come into this game as the favourites, but because of their current run in Serie A, their situation not needing to win and impressive Benfica have been in the Champions League this season they aren’t odds on. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Inter Milan 2.2, Benfica 3.65 and the draw is also 3.65. I know we only had two goals in the first leg, but we could have easily had five or six! Over 2.5 goals is a nice price at 1.98 – obviously it’s not a bet to go crazy with the stakes because Inter will want to keep the game as quiet as possible given the two goal lead. However, Benfica have been creating a lot in the Champions League this season and they also had a high xG figure in the first leg. They have to open the game up here, and it’s not like Inter haven’t been creating chances lately – they are just struggling to score. I’m happy to take the 1.98 on Overs, but keep stakes reasonably limited.
