NEWCASTLE V PSG

8pm It’s another blockbuster night in the Champions League on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE on Wednesday! We have two cracking games involving Premier League sides, and we start the evening in Group F as Newcastle host PSG. Newcastle fans must have been absolutely buzzing when they saw the draw, and it looked like they enjoyed themselves immensely in Milan judging by the videos on Social Media! They came away with a decent result too as they managed to grind out a draw. Their games at home will be absolutely massive if they are to be successful, and it will be interesting to see how they do against a PSG side who have had multiple issues this season. With Messi and Neymar gone, and Mbappe leaving when his contract runs out; it’s all change at PSG and it’s a re-set that they probably need. There has been too many big egos in the dressing room, too much money and power offered and it just hasn’t worked out well. They’ve got off to a bad start in Ligue 1 this season too; they’ve only won three times from their seven games which left them outside the top four after the weekend.

We have an exceptionally open betting heat, and Newcastle come into the game as the marginal favourites. The home win is trading 2.66 at the time of writing with PSG ten ticks bigger at 2.76 and the draw is 3.75. Although PSG have dropped plenty of points this season, their under-lining numbers would suggest they’ll still win Ligue 1. Obviously it’s a debate what that actually achieves given the gulf in class between PSG and the rest; however PSG are creating an average xG of 2.06 this season and conceding an average of just 1.10. No one else is averaging an xG of even over 1.8 in Ligue 1 – results will come for them. Newcastle have been excellent this season, but they have come up short against the top sides; especially the Liverpool game which they were 1-0 up and had a man extra only to lose 2-1. I feel there’s a little value in the PSG price here at 2.76. I know Newcastle are a top side, but PSG are clearly still playing good football looking at their under-lining numbers and I feel the sides should be the same price in the match odds market. I would expect a very entertaining game too, and Over 2.5 goals is definitely an option at 1.72 but I’m happy to take a chance on PSG at 2.76.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win PSG to beat Newcastle at 2.76 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RB LEIPZIG V MANCHESTER CITY

8pm Next we move over to Group G to finish the evening as RB Leipzig host Manchester City. These two are in a Group along with Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys, so it’s fair to say they will be the top two and this fixture, along with the return fixture, will decide who tops the Group. RB Leipzig were involved in a massive game at the weekend against Bayern Munich, and they picked up a draw there while Manchester City suffered a shock loss to Wolves in the Premier League! That came totally out of the blue, and it will be interesting to see what reaction we get from pep Guardiola’s men here. Wolves had been playing very average football leading into that game too, and City were trading very short! They come into this game as the odds on favourites – they are trading 1.78 with RB Leipzig 4.8 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. The Wolves result at the weekend was just a freak result – City finished the game with an xG of 2.21 and should have won; they only conceded an xG of 0.43. You have to give Wolves massive credit for holding out for that final 20 minutes though under intense pressure – City usually find a goal from somewhere! RB Leipzig also conceded a bigger xG figure than they created at the weekend, but they would have been disappointed to draw 2-2 after leading Bayern Munich 2-0!

The sides have actually met a lot in the Champions League recently. City embarrassed RB Leipzig in the Last 16 last season with a 7-0 win when they had home advantage. RB Leipzig did pick up a draw when they had home advantage in the first leg though, which is obviously of interest leading into this fixture. Interestingly when they met in 2021, RB Leipzig won 2-1 here but lost 6-3 in Manchester. Those two results would put me off City at odds on here; I know they are the best team in Europe and I fully accept they are levels above RB Leipzig, but with the history here the 1.78 seems a little short. Usually we see fireworks between the sides, and Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.72 which is a tempting bet; however Both Teams To Score looks cracking value at 1.67. City have conceded sloppy goals in a lot of their games this season, and RB Leipzig play a nice attacking brand of football in the Bundesliga too – I’d be surprised if we didn’t have goals here.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.67 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
