MANCHESTER CITY V FC COPENHAGEN

8pm The Champions League Last 16 second legs continue on Wednesday night and two home winning favourites will be expected on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. It’s fair to say everyone will be expecting wins for Manchester City and Real Madrid here – they are the top two teams in Europe after all! They are also the two market leaders to win the Champions League. We kick off the evening with City hosting Copenhagen, and although City were always massively odds on to come through this tie they went a long way to putting it to bed with a 3-1 win away from home in the first leg. It has to be said that even getting to this stage was a surprise for Copenhagen, they got a very difficult draw of course but they would have been outsiders against anyone. There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides here, and I feel this is a case of how many goals can City score rather than will they win. They come into the game as the red-hot favourites too; the home win is trading as short as 1.16 at the time of writing with Copenhagen 22.0 and the draw is 10.0. That City price is the shortest price of any side in the second legs, but that’s not a surprise!

Anything bar a City win would be a shock here. Although it’s worth pointing out that Copenhagen did manage a 0-0 draw when the sides met in the Group stage last season – City had beaten them 5-0 here and had already topped the Group by then. I don’t see Pep Guardiola naming a second XI here; obviously City are in a very strong position but he isn’t going to take any chances in the Champions League. Copenhagen did also hold Bayern Munich to a 0-0 draw in the Group stage this season; again Bayern were already certain of top spot. Given the gulf in class between the sides, I expect a comfortable City win here but it’s also a game for small stakes in my opinion. City are 1.48 -1.5 goals and 2.18 -2.5 goals. City haven’t exactly been banging in the goals for fun recently, but they did score three times against Manchester United at the weekend. I feel they can cover the 2.5 goal handicap; Copenhagen have to at least try to go for it here so we should get a very open game. Most sides can’t live with City in an open game, and I’d expect an easy home win.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Manchester City -2.5 goals to beat Copenhagen at 2.18 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V RB LEIPZIG

8pm Next we have the highlight of the night as Real Madrid host RB Leipzig. This tie is definitely more interesting than the City game with Real only having a one goal advantage and obviously RB Leipzig pose a bigger threat than Copenhagen. That being said, they face a huge task here to come back from losing the first leg at home, and now have to do all the hard work in Madrid. As you would expect, the home side come into the game as the odds on favourites. Real Madrid are 1.63 with RB Leipzig 5.7 and the draw is 4.6 at the time of writing. RB Leipzig will feel unlucky to be in this position; they finished the first leg with a higher xG figure than Real Madrid, and to be honest they were very unlucky not to score with an xG of 1.83. As we have already seen in the Champions League though, RB Leipzig have often struggled away from home. They held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at home at this stage last season before losing 7-0 away from home! We won’t see a similar result here, but it is hard to see past a Real win. Real dropped points at the weekend in La Liga but they were involved in massive drama.

They came back from 2-0 down to have it 2-2 heading into injury time but the Ref blew up as they crossed the ball and scored. Cue carnage as Real were obviously very unhappy and we saw the red card a few times! Real have been leaking goals recently; they’ve only kept two clean sheets in their last five La Liga games – they had to play Atletico in that run but other than that their fixture list was reasonably easy. Leipzig have reasonably solid xG figures away from home; their average created is 1.58 and their average conceded is 1.35. Decent figures away from home; their results haven’t reflected that though and they have dropped plenty of points. Their only sixth in the away Bundesliga table. They will have to take chances here and make this an open game, and I just feel that will strongly play into Real’s hands. Real’s average xG created at home this season is a whopping 2.20, and the 1.63 looks the best bet of the evening.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid to beat RB Leipzig at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
