CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: The Ultra previews ASTON VILLA v BAYERN MUNICH and LIVERPOOL v BOLOGNA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ASTON VILLA V BAYERN MUNICH
8pm The Champions League continues on Wednesday, and we have another cracking night ahead on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We kick off the evening with the highlight of the night as Aston Villa host Bayern Munich. Aston Villa fans must be pinching themselves with the European nights they can look forward to; they got off to a perfect start with a 3-0 win over Young Boys, but much tougher tests lie ahead. Bayern Munich here, then they have Juventus and RB Leipzig as well – their games against Bologna and Club Brugge will be massive, and then it’s just a case of trying to cause an upset in the other games. As you would expect, Bayern Munich come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.8 with Aston Villa 4.5 and the draw is 4.3 at the time of writing. Bayern had a huge game at the weekend in the Bundesliga and they came out of it with a draw at home to Bayer Leverkusen – maybe a little disappointing given they had home advantage and started the game odds on to win, but it kept the gap between them and Leverkusen three points. Villa were disappointing when drawing 2-2 with Ipswich and their under-lining numbers are a little lacklustre this season.
They have done very well to grind out results as they sit fifth in the Premier League table, but their average xG created is only 1.28 which is a mid-table figure. They have been keeping things reasonably solid at the back with an average xG conceded of 1.17 – that’s in the top five defensive figures but they’ve been conceding sloppy goals. You just can’t afford to be anything other than 100% focused at the back against a side like Bayern, and although the stadium will be bouncing on their biggest home European night it is hard to see Villa getting a result. Bayern have been playing some top class football this season – their average xG created is impressive at 1.87 but they have been even better at the back. Their average xG conceded is just 0.71 in the Bundesliga; that’s the best defensive figure by a distance in Germany and although they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at the weekend, once again they were superb at the back as the Leverkusen xG created was very low. Both Teams Not To Score might be a very appealing bet to many at 2.74, but I prefer the Bayern win at 1.8 here. They have been playing much better football this season and I’d have them closer to 1.7 personally.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Bayern Munich to beat Aston Villa at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

LIVERPOOL V BOLOGNA
8pm We finish Wednesday night with Liverpool hosting Bologna, and this is a game that Arne Slot’s men will be fully expected to win. Liverpool come into the game trading as short as 1.21 at the time of writing with Bologna 17.5 and the draw is 8.4. In a night where we have a lot of good betting heats and reasonably open markets, that is by far and away the shortest price of the night. Liverpool did already slip up at short odds here this season, they lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest but it was a good weekend for them in the Premier League – with Manchester City dropping points, Liverpool now sit top of the table. Apart from that Nottingham Forest blip, it’s been a case of so far so good for Arne Slot. Their average xG created is 1.74 in the Premier League; not as high as last season under Klopp but a very impressive figure none the less. They have been conceding less chances too; their average xG conceded is only 1.1 at the moment – if Slot does fix the issue Liverpool have had at the back in the past they will be a huge force this season.
With the obvious gulf in class between the sides, I feel this is a case of how many goals can Liverpool score rather than will they win. They opened their Champions League account with a smooth 3-1 win over AC Milan away from home. They were definitely given a reasonably tough draw in the Champions League as they still have to play RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid. This is definitely their easiest game, and they can’t afford any slip ups. Bologna are on the back foot after a 0-0 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk, and they have been really struggling at the start of this season. They only have seven points from their six Serie A games; they haven’t been taking their chances and they are conceding more goals than they should be too. Basically they’ve been all over the places – you can’t afford to turn up at Anfield in form like that, and I expect Liverpool to cover the handicap here. They are trading 1.62 -1.5 goals and that looks a nice position.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Liverpool -1.5 goals to beat Bologna at 1.62 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
