WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews ASTON VILLA v JUVENTUS and LIVERPOOL v REAL MADRID both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ASTON VILLA V JUVENTUS
8pm It’s another blockbuster Champions League night on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE on Wednesday! All eyes will undoubtedly be on the massive clash between Liverpool and Real Madrid, but we kick off the evening with another cracker as Aston Villa host Juventus. Aston Villa fans will be hoping for a similar night to when they beat Bayern Munich here; Villa Park will be rocking! After an excellent start in the Champions League with three wins from three games, Villa took a big backwards step in the last matchday when losing 1-0 away to Club Brugge. They weren’t odds on to win, but on paper it was one of their “easier” games and now they come into this matchday sitting down in eighth. Behind them are Juventus who haven’t exactly fired yet this season – seven points from their four games leaves them in eleventh place, and this is a huge game in the sense that if there is a loser; they will definitely be looking at the playoffs. We have a reasonably open market, with Aston Villa coming into the game as the favourites with home advantage. Aston Villa are trading 2.42 with Juventus 3.4 and the draw is 3.35 at the time of writing.
A few football fans might be surprised to see such a big gap between the sides in the market. Juventus are clearly a bigger club, but they haven’t been at their best for a while. They were in the title race last season in Serie A up until February but then finished the season on a terrible run. They really struggled to create chances and score goals – the same is pretty much happening this season. They are still unbeaten in Serie A but they’ve had more draws than wins! Their average xG created is only 1.26 which is only a mid-table Serie A figure, but they have been incredibly solid at the back. Their average xG conceded of 0.83 is one of the best defensive figures from Europe’s elite leagues. Villa haven’t exactly been creating a huge volume of chances in the Premier League, their average xG created of 1.32 is at the low end of attacking figures. I actually feel we’ll see a very cagey game here without many goals – Under 2.5 goals is trading 1.76 which looks a very nice bet. I also like the draw at 3.35 and to be honest I like the 0-0 in the Correct Score market at 10.5. I wouldn’t put anyone off any of those bets, but I’m very happy with a confident bet on Unders.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.76 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

LIVERPOOL V REAL MADRID
8pm We finish Wednesday night with the highlight of the week from the Champions League! Liverpool host Real Madrid and it’s fixtures like this that make the Champions League special. Real Madrid come into the game under pressure too; they are sitting down in 18th coming into this week with just two wins from their four games. It looks like they’ll be heading into the playoffs while Liverpool lead the way at the top of the table with four wins from four games. It’s also been a dream start to the season in the Premier League for Liverpool; more dropped points for Manchester City at the weekend has them eight points clear there – I actually don’t see that gap being closed to be honest. Real Madrid are four points behind Barcelona in La Liga, but they have a game in hand – it’s actually been a good little run for Real Madrid with Barcelona dropping points in back-to-back games. Obviously Real Madrid are European Champions and we all know that they turn up for the major games when it matters; but Mbappe has caused their system multiple problems this season and it will be absolutely fascinating to see how they perform here against a Liverpool side who have been playing some excellent football.
Things really couldn’t be going any better for Arne Slot really – he seems to have fixed the issues Liverpool had at the back under Klopp while keeping their attacking flare. Put that together and you have a title challenge, which in fairness not many would have expected after Klopp left. It’s no surprise that Liverpool come into the game as the favourites, but it might surprise a few that they are odds on. Liverpool are trading 1.93 with Real Madrid 4.1 and the draw is also 4.1 at the time of writing. It’s hard to pick holes in either side to be honest; they have both been excellent domestically this season. Real Madrid have had some issues away from home though; they dropped points against Mallorca and Las Palmas away from home, along with losing to Lille in the Champions League. I see Liverpool winning, and I couldn’t put anyone off a bet at 1.93 but this game does scream goals. I can’t see either side sitting back, and I’m happy with a position on Over 2.5 goals at 1.59.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.59 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
