WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews ARSENAL v MONACO and JUVENTUS v MANCHESTER CITY both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ARSENAL V MONACO
8pm We have another superb night ahead in the Champions League on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Juventus v Manchester City is the highlight on Wednesday night, but we kick off the action with Arsenal hosting Monaco – these two sides come into this week with the exact same record sitting just inside the top eight. Obviously finishing in the top eight will be a huge advantage going forward in the new Champions League format. Although the sides are beside each other with the same record, the market believes we’ll have a very one sided game. Arsenal are trading as the red-hot favourites at 1.33 with Monaco 12.0 and the draw is 5.9 at the time of writing. You can’t get away from the fact that there’s a huge gulf in class between the sides, and indeed the Premier League and Ligue 1 in general. Monaco have the fifth best attacking figure in Ligue 1 this season, and that’s hardly a level that will trouble Arsenal. Monaco started the Champions League with a superb 2-1 win over Barcelona, but they did have home advantage and also Barcelona had a man sent off. Since then Monaco have had a pretty easy fixture list.
You’d expect Monaco to drop out of the top eight given they finish with Arsenal here, Aston Villa and Inter Milan! Arsenal have been conceding more chances this season compared to last – they were held at the weekend away to Fulham dropping more points. They conceded an early goal, and obviously with them conceding more chances they are just getting themselves into more tricky positions this season. It will be interesting to see what kind of tactics Monaco employ here; do they shut up shop and play for a draw, or attack Arsenal and try to take advantage of them being a little sloppy at the back. Over 2.5 goals is a tempting bet at 1.69 but it’s also expecting Arsenal to do most of the work with Both Teams To Score trading odds against at 2.17. I’m going to keep stakes small because quite clearly there is a big gulf in class here, but I do see Monaco getting on the score sheet at some stage in an Arsenal win. Both Teams To Score is worth a small investment.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 2.17 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V MANCHESTER CITY
8pm We finish Wednesday night with arguably the biggest game of the Champions League this week as Juventus host Manchester City. It would be a massive surprise if either side missed out on the next round, but for the time being at least they are under a little pressure as they come into this matchday sitting in 17th and 19th. Obviously much has been made about the poor run from City recently – all the criticism has mainly been directed at Pep Guardiola, and he’s reacting to fans in ways that we have never seen before. Saying his “head is gone” is quite a popular football term, but there are a lot of signs that this is indeed the case with Guardiola at the moment. He needs a couple of wins to steady the ship, and more dropped points in the Premier League at the weekend against Crystal Palace hardly helps the situation. This is another tricky away tie, and it’s clear that City are far from their best at the moment. Sides are just playing through them too easily, and it will be fascinating to see can Juventus take advantage of that because they haven’t created a lot in Serie A this season.
Juventus are the only side to remain unbeaten in Serie A this season, but their backers haven’t had too much success – they have drawn nine of their 15 games. Their average xG created is only 1.22, which is a low-to-mid table Serie A figure. They have been exceptionally solid at the back though; their average xG conceded of 0.89 is one of the best defensive figures around Europe. Manchester City come into the game as the favourites at 2.04 with Juventus 4.2 and the draw is 3.65 at the time of writing. I feel the reality with this fixture is that it’s hard to have too much faith in either side – that’s a strange thing to be saying about Manchester City, but they clearly haven’t been themselves lately. Juventus are clearly struggling to create chances, and Under 2.5 goals is a tempting position at 1.88 – I couldn’t put anyone off that bet but I do feel the best value position is the City lay at 2.04. Juventus have been very difficult to beat this season, and clearly City aren’t firing – I can see a closer game than the odds suggest.
The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Manchester City to beat Juventus at 2.04 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
