WEDNESDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews BARCELONA v DORTMUND and PSG v ASTON VILLA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V DORTMUND
8pm The Champions League Quarter-Finals continue on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with two hot favourites with home advantage on Wednesday night. We kick off the evening with Barcelona hosting Dortmund; Barcelona will be fully expected to progress from this tie, and from a Dortmund point of view they’ll just be hoping to get through the first leg without too much damage, and then see what happens with the support of the Yellow Wall in the second leg. We had a dramatic weekend in the La Liga title race – Barcelona blew the chance to go six points clear after Real Madrid had lost to Valencia early on Saturday. Barcelona then had to settle for a draw here against Real Betis; but that did give them a four point advantage now in the title race. Dortmund are miles off the title race in the Bundesliga; they aren’t even in the European spots at the moment as they sit in eighth place. It’s been a very difficult season for them, and they have been very sloppy at the back this season. Their average xG conceded isn’t too bad at 1.26, but their actual goals conceded average is way over that at 1.54. Bringing a record like that to Barcelona is always a worry, and it’s actually hard to see Dortmund stopping Barcelona from scoring at some stage.
It’s not a surprise that Barcelona are the red-hot favourites. Barcelona are trading 1.4 with Dortmund 8.4 and the draw is 5.9 at the time of writing. The market is expecting an open and entertaining game here with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.46 – it’s actually hard not to see goals here given the way both sides play. Barcelona aren’t going to sit back with home advantage, and they’ll fancy really putting this tie to bed given how poor Dortmund have been at the back this season. Dortmund tend to fight fire-with-fire too; and I can’t see them going into their shell here despite a draw being a wonderful result in fairness. From the twelve Champions League games Dortmund have had this season, only three have had Under 2.5 goals! I expect an entertaining game here; I couldn’t put anyone off the Barcelona win at 1.4 or Over 2.5 goals at 1.46, but I expect a smooth win for Barcelona here and I like them to cover the handicap. They are trading 1.92 -1.5 goals and that looks cracking value in my opinion – that’s a confident bet for me to start the evening.
The Ultra Says:

PSG V ASTON VILLA
8pm We finish the Champions League Quarter-Finals with PSG hosting Aston Villa. This is a very similar market to the game above; there’s only three ticks in the difference between the prices on the favourites. PSG are trading 1.43 with Aston Villa 8.2 and the draw is 5.4 at the time of writing. Obviously PSG will be fully expected to come through this tie, but you could say this fixture falls at an ideal time for Aston Villa. They’ve been a little lacklustre creating chances in the Premier League this season – their average xG created is only 1.41 this season which is a mid-table figure. However, they’ve made it to the FA Cup Semi-Final recently and put together three Premier League wins in a row either side of the International Break. They look very confident at the moment, and it’ll be very interesting to see can they deal with an impressive PSG side. PSG have finally adopted the approach of not having a major star in the dressing room, and that seems to be paying off this season. That being said; they are always expected to win Ligue 1 easily – how they do in the Champions League is always the acid test.
They seem to be more of a team this season though; when they had the top three of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar they were far too easy to play through. On paper, it’s hard to see past a PSG win but I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 1.43 – Villa are in good form at the moment. PSG came through a very difficult tie against Liverpool when not many would have given them a chance after being 1-0 down after the first leg, everyone would have went into those two ties expecting fireworks when we only got two 1-0 results, but the xG figures paint a different picture. They could have easily both had three or four goals in both games. I’d expect Villa to approach this game in a cagey fashion – a draw would be an excellent result for them in fairness. However, PSG will go all out attack here in my opinion and Over 2.5 goals looks a very nice option at 1.53. Villa should also have plenty of counter attacking options, and they seem to be doing really well in that area lately. We could have a very entertaining game here.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.53 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
