WEDNESDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews REAL MADRID V ARSENAL and INTER MILAN V BAYERN MUNICH in the second legs of the Champions League Quarter-Finals both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
REAL MADRID V ARSENAL
8pm We continue the Champions League Quarter-Finals second legs on Betdaq Betting Exchange with two huge ties on Wednesday! All eyes might be on Milan here given there’s only one goal between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich – the closest Quarter-Final after the first legs last week. However, we kick off the night at the Bernabeu with Real Madrid hosting Arsenal. It’s fair to say that Arsenal shocked the football world with a 3-0 win last week in London, and now Real Madrid are going to have to come up with something special. From an Arsenal point of view, Arteta will want to make this game as boring as possible – Arsenal have an average xG conceded of only 1.07 this season which is the best defensive figure in the Premier League, so he’s well used to setting up in a cagey fashion. The main criticism of Arteta this season is that he’s turned into Mourinho; we all know Jose Mourinho wouldn’t give away a three goal lead in a European tie! Obviously the Bernabeu is a special place and this Real Madrid side is full of stars, but it really would take something special for us to see any major drama here. From a Real Madrid point of view, they desperately need a goal in the opening 20 minutes.
How Arsenal deal with Real Madrid going all-out attack will be very interesting. Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites to win in 90 minutes – Los Blancos are trading 1.75 with Arsenal 4.9 and the draw is 4.4 at the time of writing. Arsenal are the long odds on favourites to reach the Semi-Finals, but they did collapse on the title run-in when Manchester City put on the pressure. I feel like the opening 20 minutes is the most important part of the game here; Arsenal need to settle the game and not let Real start fast. From there, they can grow into the game. Real have been all over the place at the back at times recently – they’ve dropped plenty of points in the La Liga title race too, and they’re now four points behind Barcelona. I do feel Real going all-out will open the game up a lot, and while Arsenal will aim to be as cagey as possible, you just know Real are going to leave massive gaps at the back when they get desperate. It’s going to be a fascinating watch, and I like goals here. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.61 with Both Teams To Score at 1.64 – I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest, but I do like Both Teams To Score at three ticks bigger. Arsenal will get plenty of chances here as Real open the game up, and although Arsenal might want a boring game, I do feel Real will throw absolutely everything at them here so we should have an entertaining game ahead.
The Ultra Says: Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.64 with Betdaq Exchange.

INTER MILAN V BAYERN MUNICH
8pm We finish the Quarter-Final second legs with Inter Milan hosting Bayern Munich. This is easily the most interesting tie this week given there’s only one goal between the sides – especially compared to some of the other score lines we saw in the first legs! Inter Milan have a huge advantage heading into this second leg after winning 2-1 in Munich; Bayern have been absolutely superb this season but for Inter to win away from home is a massive achievement – now they just need to finish the job. We have an exceptionally open betting heat – the most open market of the week. Bayern Munich are the marginal favourites at 2.66 with Inter Milan 2.78 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing. Both sides are on their way to winning their domestic leagues with Bayern six points clear and Inter three points clear. Bayern dropped points at the weekend with a draw against Dortmund, but remarkably again Bayer Leverkusen dropped points as well – they’ve also done that like clockwork every time Bayern have given them a chance to close the gap. Bayern have been exceptional in the Bundesliga with an average xG created of 2.2 and the best defensive figure in Europe with an average xG conceded of just 0.84.
Inter have the best attacking figure in Serie A, and the fourth best defensive figure. We should have a high quality game here; Bayern can feel exceptionally unlucky with the first leg result. They finished the game with an xG of 2.53 but they just couldn’t put the back in the back of the net until the 85th minute, and then conceded after again. It will be interesting to see if Bayern can dominate possession like they did in the first leg now away from home; I can see Inter being quite cagey anyway – they will be aiming to do a classic Italian job on this given they have the lead. I’m going to keep stakes a little low here because obviously Inter have been quite impressive this season and you have to respect the fact that they can grind out results too, but after watching the first leg I do feel the 2.66 on Bayern is too big here. They were much the better side in the first leg and to be honest they could have put the tie to bed like some of the other games with the amount of chances they had. Obviously this is a totally different test now away from home, but the 2.66 is worth a small investment in my opinion.
The Ultra Says: One point win Bayern Munich to beat Inter Milan at 2.66 with Betdaq Exchange.
