WEDNESDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews AC MILAN v INTER MILAN and ATLETICO MADRID v BARCELONA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
AC MILAN V INTER MILAN
8pm It’s a Wednesday from Europe right from the top drawer on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We have two huge Semi-Finals from the Coppa Italia and the Copa del Rey to enjoy! We start the night in Italy with a Milan Derby; this is the first leg so it’s not quite crunch time like it is in the Copa del Rey second leg later. This should be an absolutely fascinating tie over the two legs though; AC Milan have been struggling for results in Serie A this season but they definitely have the upper hand in the Milan Derby this season. This season they’ve won 2-1 and drew 1-1 in Serie A, and then won the Milan Derby Final of the Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia just after Christmas too. Inter Milan are flying high in Serie A as they top the table by three points, and they’re well on their way to lifting another title – they are performing much better than Napoli their nearest rival and with another loss for Atalanta at the weekend, it would be a shock now if Inter were crowned Champions again. It does feel like AC Milan have their number this season though. Another loss at the weekend for AC Milan leaves them in a terrible position in Serie A though; they are going to miss out on a European spot.
Inter Milan come into the game as the favourites at 2.2 with AC Milan at 3.7 and the draw is 3.55 at the time of writing. Although there are plenty of points between the sides in Serie A this season, I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 2.2 on Inter here given the record between the sides this season. There actually isn’t much between the sides when you look at the under-lining numbers. Inter Milan have an average xG created of 1.7 and for AC Milan it’s 1.65 – both are in the top three attacking figures this season. It’s been hard to put a finger on why AC Milan have struggled to get over the line in so many games this season; they haven’t been sloppy at the back either. If I was to have a position in the match odds market, I would lean towards the Inter lay from a value point of view. However, I like Under 2.5 goals here at 2.14. I was surprised to see this trading odds against when I clicked into the market; I feel we’ll see a classic cagey Italian first leg here with neither side wanting to be too open. There’s a lot of football to play over the two legs here, and I expect they’ll both be cagey to begin with – I’d have Unders as the favourite and I’m happy with the 2.14.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.14 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATLETICO MADRID V BARCELONA
8.30pm Next we move over to Spain, and it’s crunch time in the Copa del Rey Semi-Final second leg between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. We saw an incredibly entertaining 4-4 draw between the sides in the first leg, and then in between the two Cup ties we saw another incredibly entertaining La Liga game. Atletico Madrid were leading 2-0, only for Barcelona to come back and win 4-2; waiting until the 92nd minute before taking the lead. One wonders what we can expect here after seeing those two games! We have a very open betting heat – Barcelona come into the game as the favourites at 2.48 with Atletico Madrid 2.92 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. Both sides have been involved in the title race this season – it’s actually been the most entertaining title race in Europe this season with all the ebbs-and-flows. Barcelona are on top at the moment after two wins since returning from the International Break, while Atletico Madrid have fallen off the pace. That loss to Barcelona meant they went into the International Break with back-to-back losses, and then they returned at the weekend with a draw away to Espanyol. With Espanyol in the relegation battle, that result was a massive blow.
That leaves Atletico nine points behind Barcelona now; that’s their title challenge over so you’d expect Deigo Simeone to have his squad rightly wound up for this tie now! Obviously Atletico are a better side with home advantage; the atmosphere is incredible but I do feel this game comes at a good time for Barcelona. Atletico are going through a little difficult patch, and Barcelona must be full of confidence at the moment – they’ve put together nine La Liga wins in a row; they have the best attacking figure and the best defensive figure. It’ll be interesting to see what tactics Atletico decide to employ; they can hardly be too cagey, but going toe-to-toe with Barcelona isn’t going to work either. I don’t have a strong opinion on goals here, so I’m happy to stay out of the that market – I feel the value bet here is Barcelona at 2.48. As I said above, this game just falls at a great time for Barcelona with Atletico struggling a little – I’d have Barcelona sub 2.4 here the way they are playing at the moment.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Barcelona to beat Atletico Madrid at 2.48 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
