FIORENTINA V WEST HAM

8pm It’s the moment some West Ham fans have been waiting a lifetime for as we have the Europa Conference League Final on Wednesday night on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. We should have a fascinating game as Fiorentina take on West Ham – there are reports of 20,000 West Ham fans in Prague, but the stadium only holds 19,370! They were given 4,890 tickets for the final as they aim to win a major trophy for the first time in 43 years.

It’s been a terrible season in the Premier League for West Ham. They went from battling for European spots last season to within touching distance of a relegation battle this season. Even David Moyes’ job was in the balance at one stage. Obviously this European run has taken away the negativity of the Premier League season, but the stakes couldn’t be higher. A win, aside from the fact it would be a simply massive achievement for the club, means European football next season. A loss and it’s only a domestic season next time – after experiencing European football it’s hard to go without it.

Fiorentina are in the same situation. They finished in eighth place in Serie A – one spot outside the European spots, but never quite within touching distance. They made it to the Coppa Italia Final domestically too – they took a very early lead but Inter Milan bounced back to beat them 2-1. Everything is on the line here! It’s a shame the stadium is so small, however UEFA weren’t expecting this much interest in the Europa Conference League, and from next season they are going to have a minimum capacity of 30,000 for the Final.

We have a very open market. West Ham are marginal favourites at the time of writing at 2.74, but Fiorentina aren’t too far away at 2.89 while the draw is 3.25. On paper, Fiorentina have played the better football this season domestically. Their place in the Serie A table shows that compared to West Ham in the Premier League. West Ham conceded marginally more chances than they created this season – their average xG conceded was 1.6 while their created was 1.5. Fiorentina have been a lot more solid at the back. Their average conceded xG was just 1.2 and their average created was 1.5.

West Ham have clearly had a problem scoring goals. They haven’t been able to convert all their chances created, with their actual average goals scored only working out at 1.1. With Fiorentina not giving up too many chances, West Ham are going to have been be in peak form up front. It will be interesting to see what kind of tactics we get from David Moyes – for Manchester United in big games he was quite negative, and one wonders will we set his side up to defend early before opening up in the second half.

The market has Under 2.5 goals odds on at 1.73. I have to say I felt it would be shorter before clicking into the market. The only negative is West Ham have been conceding quite a few chances this season, and I also feel that Fiorentina should be the slight favourites. I couldn’t put anyone off the Fiorentina win, or indeed the West Ham lay to have the draw on your side too however I really like Under 2.5 goals at 1.73. This is a huge game for both sides and I expect a cagey start – from there I don’t see too many goals or either side wanting to open up too early. I really wouldn’t be surprised to see us go to penalties like the Europa League Final but it’s Unders for me.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
