7.45pm Another huge Serie A clash on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as Inter Milan host Fiorentina on Wednesday night. We’ve had a number of massive fixtures from Serie A over the weekend and this week. Napoli managed to beat Inter Milan at the weekend, so they need a bounce back win here. Meanwhile, Fiorentina need a win for different reasons – they are in crisis at the moment after a terrible start to the season.
Fiorentina have managed European football for the last two seasons, but they come into this clash sitting in the relegation zone. Surely they are far too good to go down, but for the time being they sit in the bottom three without a win in their first eight games of the season. Their xG figures aren’t that bad – an attacking figure of 1.2 is mid-table level in Serie A and their average xG conceded at 1.33 is mid-table standard too. The problem is at both ends of the pitch though; they aren’t converting their limited chances and they’ve also been sloppy at the back.
Inter Milan may have suffered a big setback in the title race at the weekend, but their under-lining numbers remain exceptionally strong. They have the best attacking figure with an average xG created of 1.96, and they are in the top three on defensive figures with an average xG conceded of 1.07. They are title winning performance levels, but of course we’re going to get plenty of drama in Italy again this season – everyone has dropped points at some stage!
As you would expect given home advantage and the woes Fiorentina are going through, Inter Milan come into the game as the odds on favourites. The home win is trading 1.4 with Fiorentina 9.8 and the draw is 5.3 at the time of writing. Fiorentina really haven’t had much to shout about this season; it’s hard to see past an Inter Milan win here. I couldn’t put anyone off the 1.4 bet, but I like Inter to keep a clean sheet on the way to winning and Both Teams Not To Score makes a lot of appeal at 1.85. Inter have been solid at the back, should control the game and Fiorentina have been really struggling up front.
