WEDNESDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews BARCELONA v ALMERIA and WOLFSBURG v BAYERN MUNICH both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V ALMERIA
6pm The midweek European action continues on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with more La Liga and Bundesliga fixtures on Wednesday! We have another two top class fixtures with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both in action; I’m sure the double will be a popular bet! We start the evening in La Liga with Barcelona hosting Almeria. Barcelona have dropped plenty of points recently, and this is an absolutely must win game against the side sitting bottom of the table. After the weekend, Barcelona were already seven points behind Real Madrid which is a huge gap – one wonders what their opinion is about Girona too; they probably thought they wouldn’t last this long in the title race, but Girona beat Barcelona two weeks ago! A draw against Valencia at the weekend was very disappointing along with another recent draw away to Rayo Vallecano. Barcelona are still creating a huge volume of chances – their average xG created is 1.98 but they aren’t converting all those chances. They shouldn’t be this far off the pace in the title race! It’s very hard to see anything bar a Barcelona win here however, and this will be a case of how many goals they can score rather than will they win.
The market is fully expecting a comfortable home win here. Barcelona are trading as short as 1.16 at the time of writing! If you fancy a shock, and it would be a massive shock, Almeria are trading 19.0 with the draw at 11.0. Almeria have only managed five points from 17 La Liga games so far this season, and they are still waiting for their first win. There aren’t many positives to talk about with Almeria, at this stage it would be a massive shock if they didn’t get relegated. They are already adrift at the bottom of the table. Their average xG created of 1.39 isn’t too bad; that’s pretty much mid-table standard but obviously they are conceding more than that at the back. They are the third worst side at the back, and they aren’t managing to convert their chances created either; it’s going to be a long night for Almeria fans here! I know Barcelona have had some struggles recently, but everything lines up for a big win here. They are creating a lot going forward, and Almeria are so poor at the back. Any Other Home Win (Barcelona to score four or more goals and win) is 2.38 in the Correct Score market and that looks a nice position.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Any Other Home Win Correct Score at 2.38 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

WOLFSBURG V BAYERN MUNICH
7.30pm We move over to the Bundesliga to finish Wednesday night as Wolfsburg host Bayern Munich. Bayer Leverkusen still lead the way in the Bundesliga; they are still four points ahead of Bayern Munich after both sides won at the weekend. Bayern have a game in hand, and they will be expected to win that – they are almost expected to win every game in the Bundesliga after all – so that will leave them one point behind Leverkusen, then it will be game on. It’s been an excellent title race so far; it’s nice to see Bayern under a little pressure. They comfortably beat Stuttgart 3-0 at the weekend, they were never really in the title race, but it just made the gap bigger for the top two. Wolfsburg like to play a very open game, and that usually spells trouble when you’re facing a side like Bayern Munich! The market is confident on the away win here: Bayern Munich are 1.39 with Wolfsburg 8.2 and the draw is 6.0 at the time of writing. Bayern have ten wins and one draw from the last eleven meetings between the sides, and it’s very hard to see past a comfortable win here. There’s no prizes for tipped 1.39 shots, and I’m going to focus on the side markets for my best bet, however I couldn’t put anyone off including Bayern in their midweek Acca this week.
Bayern currently have an average xG created of 2.26 which is the best figure in all of the major leagues in Europe, not just the Bundesliga. They have been superb going forward this season, but they have been more sloppy at the back than usual. Wolfsburg are conceding more chances than they are creating this season, and that is still the case at home too. They have been very open at the back, and it’s hard to see them stopping this Bayern side. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.42, while Both Teams To Score is 1.69. I was very surprised to see Bayern trading 2.01 -1.5 goals however; that looks cracking value – they have been superb going forward and Wolfsburg are average at the back too. I’d have this bet odds on, and I feel we’re getting so much value that it’s worth a Max Bet to finish the evening!
The Ultra Says:
Five points win Bayern Munich -1.5 goals to beat Wolfsburg at 2.01 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
