MONACO V PSG

8pm We have some cracking action from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this Wednesday! PSG are in action in Ligue 1 as they travel to take on Monaco, while we also have a huge relegation battle from La Liga. We kick off the night in Ligue 1, and as always it’s been plain sailing so far this season for PSG. Another win at the weekend left them seven points clear but this will be a good test away to one of the better Ligue 1 sides. Let’s be honest – there’s a massive gulf in class between PSG and the rest in France, but Monaco are one of the sides that can live with PSG over 90 minutes. In terms of challenging for the title, that’s not going to happen – Monaco are already seven points behind. PSG come into the game as the odds on favourites, but there are plenty of willing layers. PSG are trading 1.93 with Monaco 4.1 and the draw is also 4.1 at the time of writing. Monaco have been very solid at the back this season – they are one of three sides conceding less than a goal a game on average this season, and their xG conceded is also in the top three.

As I said above, they should prove to be a pretty tough test for PSG so we have an interesting market on our hands here. Obviously PSG have been much better going forward – their average xG created in Ligue 1 is 2.25 compared to Monaco at 1.48. PSG have been slightly exposed in the Champions League this season – at the moment they aren’t even in the top 24 and crashing out at the Group stage would be a huge embarrassment. Monaco have actually been doing better – they have three more points than PSG and sit in 16th! Although PSG usually boss things in France, I wouldn’t have them as the odds on favourite here. I fully take on board that they are the stronger side; they have been playing better football too, but I still feel that the 1.93 is a touch short given Monaco have home advantage. I’m happy to have a small lay on PSG from a value point of view.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) PSG to beat Monaco at 1.93 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ESPANYOL V VALENCIA

8.30pm We move over to La Liga to finish Wednesday night for a huge relegation battle. Espanyol host Valencia is a huge game for both sides given they sit in the bottom three. Another loss for Valencia at weekend saw them hit rock bottom as they lost a massive clash with Real Valladolid. They need something from this game you feel – back-to-back losses against the other sides in the relegation zone is going to be hard to come back from. I know Valencia have two games in hand, but one of those postponed games after the floods was against Real Madrid. We have a very open betting heat – Espanyol come into the game as the favourites at 2.81 with Valencia 3.1 and the draw is 3.05 at the time of writing. Given both sides sit in the relegation zone, it’s going to be a more intense affair rather than a high quality affair! Looking at the under-lining numbers makes for quite poor reading for both sides; they are both in the bottom four on attacking figures. Valencia have been better at the back, but they have been exceptionally sloppy – conceding far more goals than they should.

Espanyol have been very poor at the back. They have the worst defensive figure in La Liga this season looking at their average xG conceded. The reality here is it’s hard to have faith in either side to be honest, and it’s easy to see why we have such an open betting heat. It was very disappointing to see Valencia lose to Real Valladolid last Friday night; this game has a very similar profile given Real Valladolid and Espanyol have the exact same overall performance figure. You could say that Valencia are playing the better football, but they just haven’t been getting over the line in games and they are clearly under-performing with very low morale likely. The market isn’t expecting goals with Under 2.5 goals trading 1.56 – there isn’t value on offer in that market in my opinion in what should be a very close game. I much prefer the draw at 3.05 for a small investment.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Draw at 3.05 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
