REAL MADRID V BAYERN MUNICH

8pm It’s a night for the ages at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night as Real Madrid host Bayern Munich in the Champions League! This tie is perfectly set up after it finished 2-2 in Germany and it should be another night filled with drama on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. Many football fans were left asking how did Real manage to get a draw out of the first leg, but you have to give them credit – they just seem to grind out results from the most difficult situations. Now with home advantage they have the tie in their own hands, and Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.99 with Bayern Munich at 4.0 and the draw is the same price trading 4.0 at the time of writing.

The first leg 2-2 was the fourth Champions League draw in a row for Real Madrid; they had the two draws with Manchester City and then the second leg with RB Leipzig. As I said above, Bayern were the much better side in the first leg but for Real it was all about just getting a result and getting back to Madrid. It will be interesting to see what tactics Bayern employ here; they had a lot of success in an open game in the first leg – do they dare play the same style in Madrid? The market is expecting a reasonably open game with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.65 and Both Teams To Score is four ticks shorter at 1.61.

Real confirmed the La Liga title win at the weekend with a win over Cadiz here, but they have been able to focus on the Champions League for a few weeks now as they had a decent lead. Bayern have definitely been fully focused on the Champions League for a while now – they effectively lost the Bundesliga title in February when they lost to Bayer Leverkusen and then again the following week to Bochum. As I said heading into the Arsenal tie, I really wouldn’t read too much into their domestic performances – they lost again at the weekend away to Stuttgart but surely all their focus was building for this fixture.

Despite getting absolutely tonked by Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga title race, Bayern have still performed reasonably well this season. Their average xG created is 2.21 which is still a very impressive figure – they have conceded a lot of sloppy goals, and to be honest that is what could cost them here. A more controlled performance could have easily given them a lead as well, and you get the feeling that Real will get plenty of chances throughout the 90 minutes – it’s just about whether or not they take them. Real have exceptional xG figures too as you can imagine; their average xG created is 1.97 and their average conceded is 1.08 – both leading figures in La Liga.

I have to say the 1.99 on Real is tempting, I would just have them a little closer to 1.9. They definitely look the best side in Europe in my opinion, and as I said above they will get chances against this Bayern side. However, I feel the best value play is Over 2.5 goals at 1.65. This game absolutely screams goals, and I feel if either side goes behind they are going to fight fire-with-fire. I do expect an open and entertaining game despite the stakes being so high, and I’m very happy with a confident bet on Overs.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.65 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
