MANCHESTER CITY V SEVILLA

8pm We have a very interesting UEFA Super Cup this year as Manchester City take on Sevilla on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. Despite lifting the two major European trophies last season, the sides couldn’t have had much different domestic seasons! Man City landed the FA Cup and Premier League while Sevilla spent most of the season in the La Liga relegation zone. In Europe, Sevilla were like a different side. The comeback from 2-0 down at Old Trafford to Manchester United in the Europa League turned their season around in my opinion.

If you recall that game at the time, Sevilla were still in the relegation battle! I know nobody really believed that they were going to actually go down, but they were all over the place and that result, especially the performance in the second leg too, really gave them confidence. They opened their season on Friday night with a home loss against Valencia and Sevilla fans will be hoping that’s not a sign of what is to come this season! Sevilla were in the bottom three of the home form table last season, and that’s surely an area they have to improve on this season.

Man City opened their season on Friday night too with a smooth 3-0 win away to Burnley. It was as routine as it gets really, and we didn’t really learn anything. It might be more interesting to judge City on their performance here – to be honest though it’s hard to see past them lifting another Premier League title. They come into this game as the heavy favourites – they are currently trading 1.38 with Sevilla 9.7 and the draw is 5.3.

The sides met in the Champions League Group stage last season before Sevilla finished third and transferred to the Europa League. We saw a huge gulf in class between the sides there, and it’s hard to see how that gap has been closed. City won 4-0 away from home and then 3-1 when they had home advantage in the final Group game when they didn’t need a result either. I can’t see past a comfortable win for City here – they haven’t won the Super Cup and I’m sure Guardiola will be need to add it to the honours list while at the club.

With City so short in the 90 minutes market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Although I couldn’t put anyone off including City in any Acca this week. Sevilla were pretty poor last season despite winning the Europa League, and I wouldn’t definitely worry about them again this season breaking back into the top four in La Liga. I can see City covering the Handicap here, and the 2.08 on City -1.5 goals looks cracking value. This isn’t a game for very high stakes, but the 2.08 is worth a confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Manchester City -1.5 goals to beat Sevilla at 2.08 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
