WEEK AHEAD: The big kick off headlines the week as the Premier League resumes on Friday ….


Monday We start the week with a big game for the Lionesses as they look to continue their Women’s World Cup bid against Nigeria in the Round of 16 from 08:30 on BBC. Eyes turn to the cricket for the rest of the day as Sky Sports show Manchester Originals vs Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred – with the women’s game the earlier start at 15:00 followed by the men at 18:30.

Tuesday kicks off with two Round of 16 matches from the Women’s World Cup on BBC, the first of which gets underway at 09:00, followed by the 12:00 kick-off. There is more action from the Hundred as London Spirit take on Southern Brave on Sky Sports – as usual, the women’s game will be the earlier start at 15:00, with the men’s action getting underway from 18:30. Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham are in action in the evening as they take on Wigan Athletic in the first round of the League Cup on Sky Sports from 20:00.

It’s Trent Rockets vs Northern Superchargers in the Hundred on Wednesday with an earlier start time of 11:00 for the women’s game, followed by the men’s game at 15:00, both appearing on Sky Sports. There is evening action from the men’s Hundred as well with Oval Invincibles vs Manchester Originals on Sky Sports from 18:30. We have our first Champions League action on TNT Sports with Rangers taking Servette in round three of the qualifiers from 19:45, with the EFL Cup game between Burton Albion and Leicester on Sky Sports from 20:00.

Thursday means only one thing – golf. The golfing action this week comes from a women’s major as round one of the Women’s Open gets underway at Walton Heath Golf Club, with the play live from 11:00 on Sky Sports. There is afternoon and evening action from the Hundred again with the women’s edition of Birmingham Phoenix vs Welsh Fire kicking off at 15:00, and the men’s game following up at 18:30 with both shown on Sky Sports.

It’s a very early start on Friday to catch the first of the Women’s World Cup quarter finals which gets underway at 02:00, with the second quarter final kicking off at 08:30. The Women’s Open continues as the players battle it out to make the cut from 12:00 on Sky Sports. There is once again Hundred action on Sky Sports between Northern Superchargers and Oval Invincible – as always, the women’s match is the earlier start at 15:00, followed by the men at 18:30. It’s a big evening for English football with the opening match of the Premier League season between Burnley and champions Manchester City kicking off at 20:00 on Sky Sports.

Saturday morning is another dominated by the Women’s World Cup, with the final two quarter final matches taking place on BBC at 08:00 and 11:30. The Women’s Open continues for the third round with those that survived the cut getting underway from 12:00 on Sky Sports. The Premier League gets into full swing as Arsenal take on Nottingham Forest in the early kick-off from 12:30 on TNT Sports, with the evening action coming from St. James’ Park as Newcastle vs Aston Villa gets underway from 17:30 on Sky Sports. Rugby League returns to Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as a Challenge Cup Final nobody would have predicted between Hull KR and Leigh Leopards sees one of the two win the trophy for the first time in over 40 years. Sunday is a jam-packed day of sport and the first of it comes in the early hours as Emanuel Navarrete faces off against Oscar Valdez for the WBO Super-Featherweight Title, which gets underway from 02:00 on Sky Sports. Northern Supercharges take on Manchester Originals in the Hundred on Sky Sports, with the women’s game starting at 11:00 and the men’s at 15:00. The Women’s Open will conclude on Sunday and the final rounds will be live on Sky Sports from 12:00. Sunday’s Premier League matches come from west London as Brentford welcome Tottenham on Sky Sports from 14:00, followed by Chelsea vs Liverpool at 16:30 on the same channel. We round of the week with action from the men’s Hundred as Birmingham Phoenix v Oval Invincibles gets underway from 18:30 on Sky Sports.
