KEEP UP THE GOOD FORM: Another positive week last week, picking two out of three correct results. I have been on good form the past two weeks in particular and looking forward to this weekend, I feel confident my selections can make you some money! The FA Cup is always a bit more awkward for selections, you often get upsets and less favourable odds for the big teams, but this weekend looks to be an exception with some great value available on the BETDAQ Exchange.

MAN CITY’S WOES TO CONTINUE IN THE CUP
Man City have not been playing well lately, they have seen themselves get outmatched repeatedly in big games, and their is a massive lack of energy in the side. Teams have been coming at them with large amounts of energy and they just have not been able to cope. I can see the struggles continuing this weekend against a resurgent Chelsea side.

You never know what type of team the big clubs will throw out in the cup nowadays, the league always takes precedence and the FA Cup is seen as a way to test out some of the fringe players in the squad. I do’t think this will be the case for Chelsea. They should be fielding a strong side this weekend in the cup, why wouldn’t they? They are too far back in the league to challenge, and they have already had their Champions League game this week as they faced PSG. This leaves them with a full week until their next game, which is unusual for them at this time of year.

When you look at the type of game plan City have struggled with recently, and then look at how Chelsea have performed under Hiddink, you feel they can do some real damage. They have real energy in the team now, and if you saw them during the week, they are playing some really harassing football at the moment. They are not allowing the opposition time on the ball at all, and I just don’t see City being able to match up to them.

Defensively all Chelsea need to do is shut down Aguero and they should be pretty comofortable. With no De Bruyne City have not been creating as many chances as normal. Sterling hasn’t offered a huge amount, Silva still looks a bit off the pace and Toure looks very lethargic. They are still a danger from set pieces, but this is an area that Chelsea are normally strong. On current form, Chelsea really look the stronger side, as they are coming closer to their performances of last year. Prediction – Chelsea Win

WATFORD A BARGAIN
To me this game seemed like a certainty. It can be tough a lot of the time to get value in the FA Cup until the latter rounds, but this is definitely an exception. I think 1.63 is very good value when you consider the gulf between these sides. Watford have been excellent at home this year, with a couple of good results here in the recent past also.

Then you look at Leeds, after a good spell before Christmas they are back looking like a poor Championship side. They drew 0-0 during the week but they really did not deserve the result. Middlesbrough could have easily had three of four in the game, but Leeds got lucky on the night. Deeney and Ighalo won’t miss the chances that Middlesbrough missed during the week, not on their current form.

As is the case with Chelsea, I think Watford will field a strong team this weekend. Again, I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t. They are overachieving in the league in comparison with their preseason expectations and are surely safe at this stage, so why no go for it in the cup and see how you can do? It would be an excellent route for them to get into Europe next season, which would be remarkable considering they were playing Championship football just last year. They could reach Europe via the Premier League also, but this would be a better chance for them so I think they will go all out. Prediction – Watford Win

ARSENAL WILL BE COMFORTABLE
In my previous two selections I mentioned that Chelsea and Watford should put out their stronger sides, with the mighty Barcelona looming midweek, Arsenal probably won’t. With the depth in their squad however, I don’t see this being any real issue. Arsenal are two or three deep in most positions and have real quality, especially when they are getting all their players back from injury. Wellbeck and Walcott should definitely be playing, as well as Gabriel at the back, and a host of others that would start on most teams.

As is the case with Watford, I think the price on Arsenal should be much shorter. It is where it is because they won’t play all the regulars, but as I said, that shouldn’t matter. I still think they will be very comfortable. They are 1.53 to win, but I would go even further and back them -1 at 1.96. Arsenal are at home as well, where they have been excellent. Hull really are facing a very uphill battle and I don’t seem them being up to the challenge against this deep Arsenal side. They must feel like they can catch them on the hop with Barcelona upcoming, but Wenger will have his team ready to keep them in contention in three competitions. Prediction – Arsenal -1
