FA CUP FIFTH ROUND Another break in the Premier League schedule as the FA Cup rolls around again. With many of the top Premier League sides still involved there is plenty to look forward to as we have plenty of David vs Goliath games where lower league sides go up against the biggest and best clubs in the country. Will there be upsets this weekend? Personally I think there will, and I have included one in this week’s selections.

Millwall v Leicester City

3.00pm Saturday I would imagine there will be so many going against Leicester in this one considering the form they have been lately and the fact that they have a Last 16 Champions League game to look forward to next week. I am going to go against that trend however. The state of Leicester means they need a win anywhere they can get one to try and instill some confidence in their squad. It was great for them to reach the last 16 in Europe but right now they are deep in a relegation battle and really struggling. What they need to do is to get a win (and some goals) to try and build some sort of momentum so I think they will be zoned into this one.

Another reason I am going for Leicester is because I have watched Millwall a couple of time this year, and they have not been good. They are in the middle of the table in League One and that is representative of their current form. Their main issue is keeping the ball. Any time I have watched them they have been absolutely dominated in terms of possession. They just can’t seem to hold on to the ball, and against a better level of opposition that will really hurt them, especially towards the end of the game when they tire out from chasing the ball around the pitch. They knocked Watford out in the last round, which was great but it must be said that game was by far their best performance this year. Even then it took a whole lot of defensing to advance.

It will suit Leicester to have a team who will let them play. Normally that is not how they would have liked it last season, but right now they need a good performance as well as a result and this is their best chance to get both of these. This time last year Leicester would have been priced around 1.5 or so, but right now you can get them at 2.4 which is an excellent price for a Premier League side against a League One side!

TONY’S BEST BET:
Back Leicester at 2.4.

Huddersfield v Man City

3.00pm Saturday This for me is the game of the weekend. We have no all Premier League ties which makes this the closest thing to one. Huddersfield are flying high in the Championship and have won their last six games. Man City have turned things around somewhat in previous weeks but they still aren’t playing to the level they would have been at the beginning of the season. As well as that, they have a massive Champions League tie next week against Monaco so I really can’t see a full strength team being put out.

I would be absolutely shocked to see the likes of Aguero, Silva, De Bruyne out there on Saturday afternoon. Of course with the money Man City have spent in years passed they will have a deep squad enough to put out quality. The main problem for these players is they will not have played regularly enough to be immediately up to match speed, and you can bet Huddersfield won’t give them time to adjust. Look for them to storm out the gate early as they look to take advantage of their home ground. I have been to a couple of Huddersfield games this season and believe me when I say the atmosphere there is electric. An average league game has a real big game atmosphere so I am looking forward to seeing it on Saturday when they do have a massive game.

I think the pricing here is off. Man City are one of the top teams in the country, but this will not be the usual Man City we are used to seeing. It will players like Nolito, a rarely playing Kompany and more. For Man City’s second team to be 1.43 against one of the in form sides of the Championship is a bit off for me. I was tempted to back Huddersfield to get the win, but at the prices available I think the Lay is the best bet.

TONY’S BEST BET:
Lay Man City at 1.43.

Fulham v Tottenham

2.00pm Sunday We’re being treated to a nice London Derby on Sunday between these sides and again I think it could be a good game. I certainly expect it to be a good watch considering the brand of football both sides play. When on song there are few teams better to watch than Spurs, and then when you look at Fulham you have to say they play one of the best brands of football in the Championship. The best part is it has been working for them recently with four wins in their last five games. They have been involved in two consecutive crackers grabbing a 3-2 win on both occasions so you can be sure we will see goals.

I think you can expect something similar from Spurs as you can from City. They will have played a Europa League game on Thursday and given the fact that winning that competition will guarantee you Champions League football next season you have to think their concentration will be more fixed on their Thursday games rather than the FA Cup. It should be a second team from Spurs again, giving their players a rest after their trip to Gent so I really fancy Fulham to get something from this one. When you look at their home form this season I think 4.4 is a pretty generous price for them on Sunday. Look for plenty of action and Fulham to creep an upset.

TONY’S BEST BET:
Back Fulham at 4.4.
