BIG WEEK FOR RELEGATION SIDES: Only a few more weeks left in the season. It looks like Leicester could have the league sewn up after another impressive victory last weekend. Villa are gone, Newcastle look to be joining them, but there is still a lot to be played for in the remaining weeks. And more importantly for us, there is still some money to be made!

LEICESTER TO KEEP ROLLING
Week on week you look at Leicester, they have a favourable price but you are still a bit to back them. But they don’t stop winning, so until that happens, I will keep backing them! They have been excellent, even when they don’t play their best they get results. That is what champions do. Sometimes it feels like things are just destined to happen, and Leicester winning the league certainly seems like one of those things.

West Ham have had a couple of tough games in the past few days. They battled to a 3-3 draw with Arsenal to get rid of any lingering aspirations of catching Leicester. Then during the week they took on Man United for a place in the FA Cup semi final. These were two extremely tough games for a shallow enough side. Then they have to go and face a red hot Leicester City, who haven’t conceded goals. Not ideal for them. Of course West Ham have their own chase on right now, trying to keep pace with Champions League hopefuls. But this could be one too far for them. Leicester have a good home record this week, and West Ham will be low on energy.

I really can’t see West Ham being able to get up for this one. It has been a great season, but they are looking a bit tired. Carroll is back and actually playing well, Payet is still excellent but it is at the other end they will have trouble. United’s pace got to them in the FA Cup midweek, and what do Leicester have? An abundance of pace up front. Vardy will be able to get at the West Ham defense even better than Rashford was able, and with Leicester’s recent defensive record I can only see one winner. Verdict – Back Leicester

LIVERPOOL’s HIGH TO LAST A FEW MORE DAYS
What a night it was for Liverpool last night. Incredible scenes on one of their better European nights. It is hard to get back to the reality of a domestic game after those big European nights, but I think Liverpool have it in them to get their heads on straight for Sunday.

They have a deep enough squad that they can rptate some guys in and still be very strong. Bournemouth have really struggled in games against proper footballing sides. When they don’t have all the ball, they don’t exactly have a plan B. So when they come up against sides with more quality, they are somewhat open to being steamrolled. Their injuries this year clearly have not helped, but they have done extremely well and look to be safe of the drop which is incredible when considering all the factors.

The reason I don’t see Liverpool slipping up is largely because of Klopp. He is a brilliant manager. A really great signing for Liverpool. He brings excellent energy to the dressing room and always demands the most of his players. He is a guy who will always get his team to go for the win. There is no such thing as a draw for him going into a game. Always optimism. For that reason I think he will have his team ready for this one, with some fresh guys that didn’t play the full game during the week. Liverpool just have too much quality not to win this one. Verdict – Back Liverpool

TURN OF FORTUNES FOR SUNDERLAND
Sunderland have had a tough run of results lately. They have played OK (not good, not bad) but not been getting the points. There has been no lack of unlucky fortune for them in this span, playing top teams and coming close to results that have slipped away. But I think they are due a poor performance by their opposition.

If I was to pick a manager between Big Sam and Alex Neil to keep my team up, I would go for Big Sam all day. He’s been here, kept teams up and really steadied sides. I don’t think the Sunderland team is too bad, they have some good players here, enough to possibly keep them afloat in the Premier League. Sunderland are coming into this knowing they need a win. Lose and they are as good as gone with only a few games left. Win and they are right on Norwich’s heels.

Norwich will be edgy. They can see Sunderland in the rear view mirror and are afraid to get caught. This doesn’t normally spur a team to go out and win. They will have a mentality not to be beaten, which is very dangerous. I just think Sunderland have too much at stake, and are due a big result. Verdict – Back Sunderland
